Looking forward to them. It reminds me of the drawings I've always done, although mine have always been pencil. I've loved drawing ever since I can remember, but I hate painting, and I hate colors

As you can see we have common grounds regarding colour. I say I wont perfect black and white drawing in my lifetime let alone get onto colour.

My insperations are all very dark though artist's such as HR Giger who designed the original Alien. Ralph Steadman of Fear and Loathing both great artist's

I don't want it rushed my friend it's got to fit the site.

I appreciate your help but I want it done to a high quality, I'm willing to pay but I want it done properly with some cutting edge sound effects. custom stuff you know. I don't want it rushed.

Posted by pennyr2 on Jun-12-2011 01:44:

Proposal.

What Im thinking is might make this into a sort of competition if talent lerk's on these board's.

Make me a sound pack.

Two audio loops one for front page one for zoomed gallery.
set of 20 button sounds.

Contestant's send in a 30 sec sample they made and the winner gets the job?

Would have to make a brief though and it's late.

hmmm bed.

^ Get msz to do it man, if he's offering- Top class producer signed to a top class label. Looking a gift horse in the mouth if you're looking elsewhere imo

really cool artwork too, hopefully you stick around the boards long enough to no longer be branded a spammer

dont think hes interested in my style, i tried to tailor it a bit to what he wanted but dont think its for him

egos try him out, maybe you're more geared towards what he wants. i would love to do website sounds and music as a side thing, but ill always be putting my tramp stamps on the sounds.

ahh k that's a shame- haha I do like making sounds, but too busy atm, and I would definitely do the same thing: I Find it hard to do music purposefully (like make a certain genre, or use a certain sound), I always end up warping it into something for myself... I always start out meaning to make some lovely prog and wind up making techno or psy for example hehe

If I started out intending to make SFX god knows what would happen

you should do a limited edition screen print run.
Vinyl print won't have the crisp quality that a screen print will give you.

Now with the level of detail in the images it may be difficult to screenprint...

Posted by pennyr2 on Jun-12-2011 11:53:

Yes I could screen print these images as I have a screening department at work.

Flikr

I know what you are saying though it might be too much detail. Would look great though.

uh I wasn't even aware Mimaki did small flatbed uv printers.

when I was in large format printing often had gear envy for Mimaki equipment.
The machines I had around the shop were Scitex wide format for banner printing, Zund uv flatbed doing mostly pvc printing, and some roland and hp printers for vinyl print/cut.

Posted by pennyr2 on Jun-12-2011 13:59:

Yes those small mimaki are great when they are working. When they play up they are a nightmare. I run both of those machines on my own and when one goes down its very stressful. Bloody technology.

Can do some kool stuff on them we have white ink in one and clear gloss ink in the other for the special inks. It's kool being able to print white on black metal or whatever but I haven't found a use for the clear gloss yet. Don't really want it in cos it causes issues with the rip software.

Kool mate. What company did you work for then? What do you do now?

Plus Roland printers are great really high quality. Even more so than the mimaki IMO.

1. You should really make vinyl/CD cover art
2. Your work does remind me of the Watergate series CD covers though
3. Can I order prints to hang up on the wall?

Posted by pennyr2 on Jun-13-2011 21:42:

Hi. Yes I'd love to do a CD cover.

That CD cover art is wicked mate nice post. Really like the bird image thanks for sharing that. Do you know who the artist is I can't find anything about it on google.

I'll pm about prints.

Still trying to find the artist who did these.
