So double it at least. say they pay out 20 million, Insomniac still makes about 20 million off the show....

figure 235 x 90,000=21.15 million....+ the upcharge for whoever bought VIP.....maybe 22 million.....probably netted 5 million maybe

i think they best case broke even this past year (and my best guess is they lost $)... but in the big picture considering the move to Vegas and setting the stage for future EDCs there i think they are fine. Tickets for 2012 started at what, $200 i think? so their gate should get close to $20mm next year and maybe exceed it.

you guys also need to factor in all the money they made selling water, food and stuff like that.

tickets with fees were 235, 6 weeks before the event......cuz thats when i bought mine....i ended up getting comped, so i sold my ticket.....but yea
reliable sources told me they broke even on the event. they were expecting to lose money this past year but things worked out for the better.

Interesting to hear that they likely broke even. When I said 20 million i was putting out a super vague number off a guess, not even real math....
And the number I said was for what they had before they had to pay things like rent, and every other cost, so breaking even makes sense. It can't be cheap to rent a NASCAR raceway for what, a week+?
