Well I should sure fucking hope so. You can't compare dj todays to almost 15 years ago. More than half the people on that list don't even dj anymore.

This list is wack. Most of the Top 10 I don't care to listen to.

After looking over the profiles of some of those names I didn't recognize it seems there is a pretty big explosion of Hardcore and Hard Dance DJs coming out of the Netherlands and just in general. I had no idea that stuff was getting that popular again. I wonder if this is related to the rise and popularization of dubstep too.

I don't care what the reason is...I'm just glad to see a resurgence.

No, it predates dubstep's popularity. You certainly wouldn't have something like this with dubstep in 2007 for example:

Then again, hardcore and hardstyle never really seemed to have left at all in the Netherlands, I think the bigger difference is that they've grown everywhere else.

Posted by PivotTechno on Oct-22-2011 18:18:

white people.

Can you believe who won hottest kiss in a TV show at the Teen Choice awards this year?!?!

I can't believe they disrespected my favorite TV show by not putting them at least in the top 10!!! They should've never started allowing tweens to vote!! They're not even teens!!

I know some of these folks were on the list last year it just seems a big chunk of names moved up quite far this year.

That's what I was thinking. I would've figured people who liked it in Netherlands years ago would've been voting for it then and it would've been more visible so I guess it's picking up more elsewhere.
