With Spotify, Internet radio and Soundcloud, the amount of music you have on your hard-drive is more or less irrelevant.

Check out this trancecracker (http://www.lastfm.de/user/TrancePL), most diverse taste in the world. FUCKING 170K SCROBBLES AND 441 ARTISTS.

Me personally im at 19k scrobbles and ~2000 artists. But honestly I don't get how some people can have like literally 10k artists. How does that even work unless you download every compilation you ever come accross in your life.

You're 18 and you've heard 2,000 different artists. If someone has been listening for 10-20 years longer than you, they can easily rack up 10,000 artists, especially people who get to work at their computers and play music all day.

I have about 300 to 400 vinyl. Mostly deep house, tech house, chicago house, 90s house. Most of them are bought from Inbeat and from DJ lafleche. Crazy buncha people.

I download my digital music.

this is worse than that polish trancecracker.. http://www.last.fm/user/maarcusj

Most people just leave their players on all day, I see people with hundreds of thousands of scrobbles. What's the point?

Nothing at all.

My hard drive decided to die.. I had a proper amount of music on it, I can't believe it's all gone

Photos too, a lifetime amount, all gone..

I am lucky to have some of the most important tracks copied to my cell phone, so that is saved.

Good thing my physical format music is intact.

Lesson of the day: DO BACKUP!!!

Sorry to hear that.

I learned that a week ago when my blog was deleted for some bullshit copyright claim. I had TONS of writing and memoirs on that thing; all gone.

Anyways, yes, BACKUP!!!

Shit man, I was just about to ask you if you had any of your memoirs written down for me to read.

It never ceases to amaze me how different people can treat music. That's like the exact opposite of how I listen to music.

If these people where like in their 30s to 40s I'd understand but often they are like in their mid to late twenties lol.

I have about 2000 songs. But that's just the stuff I've produced. Loads of it are just one-minute loops though.

I also have a couple of hundred mp3's from other artists, and a shit load of old trance and hard house on vynils.

So that's about a 16th of an mp3. Or 14 midi files.?

Posted by Chimney on Sep-12-2012 21:03:

~50.000 FLACs.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Sep-12-2012 21:18:

my music drive is about 1.5 TB used up.
I also have music as score. probably about 300 or so of those.

And recorded dvds of concerts, about 100 ish.

I used to have a killer vinyl collection but sold it when i moved. Bought 5000 records off this retiring club dj for 1000$. Had just about every dance classic from 1990. And then the vinyl i bought myself 500 around. I regret selling them but they would be impossible to move.

The glyph has two alternative uses with regard to numbers. It can be used either as a decimal separator or to present large numbers in a much more readable form. The former use is more prevalent in English-speaking countries. In much of Europe, Southern Africa and Latin America (with the exception of Mexico due to the influence of the United States), a comma is used as a decimal separator, while a full stop or a space is used for the presentation of large numbers. The following are examples where the comma is or would be used as a decimal separator:

1.002,003 or 1 002,003 (One thousand and two and three thousandths)
1.002.003 or 1 002 003 (One million two thousand and three)

On topic: I have two mcmusic cd's, one absolute music, Four Now that's what I call music cd's ( ) and about 13 singles from various artists.
