I've scoured the internet looking for content that would adulterate my image. I think I've about got it all. Except for one picture of me in woman's lingerie which I'm sure will surface again someday.

I'm really not sure.. I guess the point is, Does it matter? The fact is that he's been treated so poorly that the only recourse was to cut himself. I think that goes to show, that each and everyone of our actions towards others can have an effect. I have a thick skin so I'm not worried about it (most of the time). But, some people dont. And the point of this thread was to hopefully ignite the same sort of compassion that I felt (when I watched this video) so hopefully the world ends up a better place.

He's gay. CNN did a story on him, today. He's garnered a lot of attention with it and even has Perez Hilton taking up for him.

How thick is it? Have you measured its depth?

Yes. This. This is the only recourse when someone is being picked on. The only thing one can possibly do is cut themselves, for cutting yourself solves all problems.

I'm pretty sure that's not the motivation for self-cutting.

Posted by srussell0018 on Dec-07-2011 02:14:

Of course it is. He was being picked on so much that he obviously had no other choice than to cut. No other choice at all.

Again, I'm fairly certain that's not remotely close to the thinking that's occurring in the psychotic prelude.

Ryan, it's pretty obvious that you're a PLUR and UNICORN kinda guy. but the fact of the matter is that the c0r is not about PLUR and UNICORNS anymore. and it never will be again. and there's nothing that you can say on here to really change that.

how are you AFFECTING the c0r, DJRYAN? you certainly don't raise the mood in here, in fact all you do is make people facepalm themselves. how many bruises will it take, DJRYAN before you realize how you are affecting people like US?

personally I don't feel like what I'm doing is damaging the COR or TA as a whole. For the most part I stay out of the COR for exactly this reason. You guys do a great job of conjuring up the descent and ill feelings that are exhibited here- not me. I truly think that people should channel all their negative energies into more positive ones and concentrate on the good. That's what's wrong with the world. I mean, turn on the news and watch it for five minutes. What you'll see projects to everyone that this is the world and how it acts and I don't believe it for one second. What I do believe is that we are all innately capable of being decent towards one another and that we are forced to be nasty and mean because society says that we can, or that its easier, or more imporantly that its acceptable. I'm not on board with that. So, again, the point of this thread was not to push Plur, but to push civility and compassion and respect for not just this Mowry kid, or me, but for everyone.

I wasn't defending his choice to mutilate himself nor was I saying that was his only option. What I was saying is that he felt like this was his only option and that in some shape way or form, this assisted in easing his pain. I certainly don't feel like cutting is a suitable form of therapy, nor do I feel like it serves any purpose.

You cannot divide by zero.

Man it must really suck to be gay when you're 13 years old. I still don't get how the whole gay thing works, tbh, from a mental/physical point of view, let alone when you're that age. That kid must be really really confused. I blame society mostly, not necessarily for treating him the way it has but for actually creating an environment where a 13 year old kid can actually be led to become gay. Nonetheless, he should be old enough to realize that being gay, especially at his age, is an incredibly unnatural thing, and that if he has to insist on following that orientation, and even going as far as making it known to other people, then he should already know what the consequences are likely going to be.

One other thing I'd like to mention, on the subject of homosexuality as a whole. Forget about the fact that we have been/are moving towards a society where being gay is not met with criticism/outward displays of intolerance. What kind of bothers me is that I feel that we are slowly moving beyond that, to the point where it's "ok to be gay" or that it's even accepted as a natural thing and that the general public not only not hate it, but actually begin to embrace it. Obviously I don't mean for an oneself to embrace the possibility of becoming gay, but for the average person to accept gay behavior as a regular and natural part of society and to even openly express their joy at the fact that gay people should be and are free to behave as they wish.

Basically what I mean is that I'm all for not being against gay people and gayness, not hating on them etc because we all have things we want to do, but to actually embrace it and accept it. I'm with the "I don't hate it, I just don't like it" group. Anyway I'm ranting here but it does kind of fascinate me how a child that young can be so sure of the fact that he is gay from a psychological/sociological point of view.

p.s. Ryan, while you show hints and glimmers of intelligence from time to time, ultimately you are hated on because you are fucking oblivious, you have the absolute worst taste in music ever, and you are still way dumber than you are smart.
