yeah, her howls were really cool. I grew up on an acre or so of property, so we didn't really have any close neighbors to annoy or anything.

I miss little Bess

cats are so nice they make some people legitimately insane.

when I was in college, I took an odd job working for a reclusive and senile old woman named Virginia Hawley. normally I would do yard work for her or help fix things around her house (which were usually destroyed by her many cats), but every so often she would require me to sit and listen to her cat poems. yes, cat poems, as in a genre of poetry that is expressly concerned with the theme of cats and the things that cats do. since Mrs. Hawley refused to pay us unless we did this, a friend and I decided to make the best of the situation and record her many, many volumes of cat poetry and play it on our radio show each week. here is but a small snippet from the opus of remeowned cat poet Virginia Hawley.

Kitty Magic by Virginia Hawley

Jealous and sad at the same time. The fucking sucks. Did you punch the driver in the nuts after? I would have castrated him/her.

I also love the howls Did you go on "scavenger hunts" with her? Like go into a field and set up trails for her to follow, find stuff, etc?

Never found out who the driver was, just came home from school one day and found her dead/half flat on the side of the road

But yeah, she was a total nose dog, hahaha.

It's hard to say, i love both but given the fact that i am really lazy i would choose a cat over a dog.

I reallllyyyyyy want an English Mastiff or a Saint Bernard

They are so fucking adorable.

A tiger or lion would beat (and eat) a wolf every time.

Posted by wienerschnitzel on Dec-22-2011 14:32:

thanks captain obvious, i'm pretty sure we're talking about domestic animals.

You're welcome, sergeant sarcasm

some dogs are awesome. But most are just loud, smelly and obnoxious.
Cats don't require walking so its great for shut-ins like myself
they are funny and don't smell and don't lick your fucking face the moment you get your head low enough

In order to keep a true perspective of one's importance, everyone should have a dog that will worship him and a cat that will ignore him.

^ My dog. Lab mixed with ridgeback. Mostly a lab personality, but warier of strangers than many labs tend to be.

Also, he never licks faces, which is kind of cool. The other week my gf's friend was even actively trying to get him to do it, and he still wouldn't. Guess he had it trained out of him early (we adopted him from a shelter when he was 10 months old).

+1
