Eats Everything's alias is so right for him. He is a big dude!

What I Night.

Maceo Ripped it. What a set!!!

Posted by lockedgroove on Mar-19-2012 15:15:

an amazing night of music from start to finish, with a more than up for it, festive crowd. some of those basslines will resonate in my mind forever.

I've never experienced people dancing on speakers at 10:15, also i've never seen fw so busy before 11, thanks to everyone that made it there for my set. much love jon/yohan/jeff

jeff's set was great, was not a huge fan of eats everything but the crowd was loving it, maceo fuckin killed it, seriously was blown away at some of those tracks, as soon as his first track kicked in and i saw a little smile on his face i knew he was ready to test out the crowd. Caught just a couple tracks from nitins closing set which were nice too.

eats everything really looks like he ate everything before he reached the club. I'm sure he get's that a lot. I was also surprised at how fast he downs guinness tallcans, from what i saw it was 8 total. Real cool and down to earth guy though (i hope he doesn't read this lol)

insane night. now just to get my shit together and pack for miami tomorrow.

Dave and Cat sent me a picture of "maceo" and kept txting me how they chatted him up before he came on.. I told them it couldn't be him because it looked like he ate everything... It was Eats Everything. lol.

Nope, I saw that too!

Epic night, got there at 11 like everyone suggested, glad I did! Button has a great opening set. Place started getting hot and sweaty early, made my up front for some Eats Everything, loved every moment of that, old school samples, Bristol Bass, tons fun party music. Everything I expected from him. Running around, dancing, talking, meeting people, so many people were there it was amazing.

Maceo came on and I was wondering how he would follow, and it was epic, Some hard Maetrik style tracks and back into the Maceo Style we know and love. Basslines galore!

EPIC! I was tired as fuck by the nights end, but all in good fun!

Great night!

Wished I was present at this, I know I missed out.

I went to Van Halen that night and couldn't convince my crew of friends to this, we ended up checking out a funk band at Joe Mama's which was good 30 something style of fun I guess lol

Besides up front, it actually was not all that bad. Good crowd control. Hot as all fuck, but wasn't rammed front to back.

It was my birthday, and wow, what a great party! That was the best time I've had at Footwork. I arrived just before midnight, and I am so happy I had an advanced ticket. Of my 15 friends who arrived, only the five of us with advanced tickets made it in. Went inside and Jeff Button was playing some amazing music. Next up was Eats Everything who delivered with some techy and funky stuff. Maceo Plex finished with the best set I've heard at Footwork. So groovy, sexy, and filled with massive basslines. That guy knows how to make a crowd move!

Just under five hours of incessant dancing, and I left smiling, exhausted and drenched from head to toe. To top it off, I ended the night with a six egg and goat cheese omelette followed by an exorbitant amount of almonds--probably more than Eats Everything ate after the club.

Interesting to see a world class DJ redlining like a mofo. Not at all trying to take away from what sounds like an excellent night, just surprised to see that.

It's not uncommon...I've seen DJ's as soon as they get on, immediately crank it like its supposed to make them better. At some events in London, we tape the master down so the mixer doesn't get fried or the speakers pop.

Posted by WittyHandle on Mar-22-2012 17:51:

I understand that from lesser jocks, but from someone on his level it just surprises me.
