it happened to me once. when my g/f realized that I was totally unable/unwilling to support her and the kid, she got rid of it. then I got rid of her.

Hmm, and I thought I was an asshole. But to be fair I don't know what I would do in that situation either. I guess if I felt I wasn't ready to support her and the child both mentally and financially I'd probably try to persuade her to get an abortion. But, I think I would have a very difficult time leaving her (at least right away) knowing that she sacrificed something that was important to her for me/us. Plus, she would probably be prone to depression or suicidal thoughts during the time after, so if anything i'd feel obligated to be there for her for support...

So yeah, overall a pretty big asshole move.
