I bet ya there weren't a lot of cheaper/early tiered tickets. Avalon has usually charged around $70-100 for NYE tickets.

Any idea what the door price may be at opening?

likely $100+ if they sold them at all. does avalon usually sell tickets at the door for NYE?

Past NYE's.. usually door prices were $150.

Seriously guys, it's going to be a good show. Don't be a last minute planner. I don't want to see people on here bitching at Avalon/Giant that they spent their new years countdown waiting in line for their cheapass guestlist or door ticket.

Buy ahead of time, you won't regret it!!!

well said. there was already a lot of that for his last show, and NYE is never a cheap event anyways. to get at least 10 hrs of markus <$100..thats not bad at all!

The only problem is getting people to think about NYE nearly 3 months in advance!
I have one take so far, a buddy in SoCal. Would like to get a bigger crew going,
or at least find out more about VIP tickets before buying GA. Would be nice if you could
also buy physical tickets in case of change of plans (I know, scalpers...)

might be in LA for NYE...but damn, i'll be visiting friends not into this kind of music. not sure if i can ditch 'em when they're putting me up.

I'll most likely show up at 9:30 and pay at the door like the last open to close set.

Are there usually any street closures around the area for NYE stuff?

No street closures.. just avoid Hollywood blvd and take Franklin instead

ok so i tweeted markus and avalon hollywood 13 for '13 (13 hr set), and it looks like it's slowllllllyy becoming viral, who knows how far it will go, personally i don't even think i can last for 13 hrs and doubt there will be enough people there that long, but if you guys feel it's something you would like to experience, start spreading it.

given that i will no doubt force myself to stay to the end no matter how tired i am, i am going to go ahead and hope this doesn't happen. lol.

They just added an open bar VIP ticket, does anyone know if this open bar is limited to the VIP area and not the bars on the floor? I am guessing that it is limited to a special open bar that is upstairs, and if that's the case, then it is worthless, but if it works on the main floor, the $60 difference is nothing.

I never been to Avalon, what�s the situation with the bar in the VIP area, too far from the main room? Too much hassle getting to main room to VIP and vice versa?

who knows, but i don't think it will be at the general admin bar since that will just cannibalize their sales with a long line.

the VIP area might be upstairs, but who knows.

and yes, once the dance floor is blocked off, you need to go upstairs.

Maybe the Jerry Lewis room? There is a bar there. You can go to an upstairs area from there but I don't remember a bar upstairs.

If the JL room is VIP, in2muzikk won't have access to his favorite bar
