Flight to Detroit: $250-275, 3 day VIP pass: $150, split hotel: $40-60/person/night (for 4). Drinks: $5/beer, $8 mixed drinks....DEMF has honestly become cheaper, even without introducing afters into the equation, nor the amount of time wasted traveling nearly 1 hour, even if you live near the ferry or bus stop.

eek, I know so many people who took a loss on 3-day's last year. Single days were flying off the racks, but even face-value 3 days were impossible to sell. Hope it works out for you, man.

Not really worried about losing some money if I sell, I plan on going anyway.

Think of it this way, they could really use the money

"Last year, Early Bird passes sold out in a matter of a few minutes. This year we wanted more of you to have a chance to get them before they were gone. So we released far more than ever before, allowing us to keep them available for several days. As a result, we're happy to report that there's been a record number of passes sold during this year's Early Bird sale.
If you didn't get yours in time or you're waiting for VIP or Platinum passes... don't worry - news about the next on-sale is coming soon!"

Just received this little gem in the email... LMAO, yeah, record number of passes. I'm sure this had nothing to do with a big ass price tag.

^This.

I was up for purchasing tickets for the side stages as I am not into this new cheesEDM ragefest that has taken place in America. But, nixed the chance to purchase tickets and will be spending said money for more time in Ibiza next summer.

That is what I would go for. It's terrible that these DJ's don't get booked in the Austin/Houston/Dallas area here in Texas so I have to wait until WMC time to see them yearly.

And why would EZ ever allow the number #133, #989 and #245 DJ to grace the presence of their commercial playing fields?!

/sarcasm (in case you didnt catch it)

i know what your talking about as i seen the sven vath post that he was out the top100...but if you dont mind can who tell me who these 3 are?

Posted by lounger540 on Oct-19-2012 04:42:

Lol yeah. Sven Vath isn't a top DJ but he sells out Ibiza every week. Goes to show the polls are bullshit. The real party people are too busy nursing their hangover to vote in some ****** online poll.

LOL in this sense, I was "picking on" Hernan coming in at #133...I just made up the other numbers in an overly-dramatic sarcastic moment regarding the ridiculousness of the vote.

Hello! Electric Zoo Transportation Input

Getting ready to buy this years EZOO tickets and the question about transportation came up. Ferry or shuttle?? I was curious about the shuttle bus. Has anyone taken it?? I always take the ferry, but if there's no line, it takes about 30 minutes to get there. (Arriving too early I've waited in line for 45 minutes) Coming back from the island, it's about a 40-65 minutes. Is it better to stick to the ferry or take the shuttle bus??

I just wanted some input from some experienced riders. Thanks all

Dee

The shuttle is just over the bridge, takes 5 minutes, arrives frequently. On the way there it's all good.... on the way back you will have dozens of sweaty stank partygoers piling up on each other in the same sardine can crammed bus (unless you leave before the last act).

Posted by MizDee on Nov-29-2012 20:48:

It only takes 5 minutes?? WOW!! That's AMAZING!! It just might be worth it for that reason alone! When coming back via ferry, you have much of the same thing....only difference is people are pissed off because it's taking so long.

Posted by Armitage350 on Nov-30-2012 03:07:

Weelllll it only takes five minutes IF you get there early AND there isn't a flustercluck of traffic. My first day on the bus was great, short ride. Second day? There was a traffic jam and after sitting on a bus with no AC fpr 15-20 minutes, I got out and walked from just past the bus area to EZ. It took about 30 minutes but I got there eventually by foot. I think I even beat the bus there.

I did the ferry in 2010 and it was awesome. However, I left from a port on the UES (which is not available anymore apparently) and was able to park for free in the UES in the 80's and walk to the pier. Now, I believe the only port on the ES that is open is in the 30's.
