i am a more visual learner than anything so it helped with a computer program like atomix to really see whats going on with the music as far as waves go...

i am new to mixing relatively, and i have alot of friends who are interested...im just the first one who sucked it up and bought a pair of 1200s... but teaching them was hard becuase some people simply dongt get how two songs behave at different speeds.

it was easier for me to pick it up becuase i have a working image of what is going on. dont rely on looking at waves to mix though though, keep in mind that you are eventually gonna have to do this from hearing.

since you have decided to wait and buy the best stuff when you can afford it, like i did, then i suggest playing with atomix...its a nice investment and i learned alot from it.

I've heared of that but never tried tho, I will...
Do you still need 2 soundcards to mix 2 tunes together??? I mean to cue one and have the other one playing???

no with one soundcard you can either have headphone going to left channel and just play music from the righ, or with a 4 speaker setting on the soundcard [i use this] you can have headphone channel coming out of the rear and the monitor coming out of the front channel.

ofcorse you have to buy the actual program to get the headphone function [the demo doesnt have it].... your ip or something is registered when you open the real program so if you try to crack it, and if they find out they will ban your ip or soemthing like that, im not sure...it was a worthy investment for me though, even while i only used it for a few months until i decided to get turntables : )
