I think the german teams have very good chances to reach the next round. Too bad my favourite team (Werder Bremen) is out

Posted by Dj-HordasH on Nov-21-2002 18:31:

The flag Sarajevo's got is the biggest in the Balkans, and undoubtedly one of the biggest in Europe. I know it was developed in Turkey where lots of the tifo marchendise comes from, if you are really serious about it I could get you in touch with some key people...

Here in Toronto, we created a flag that's close to 100 metres squared, it's solid for North American standards. We crated it ourself, we bought a shitload of fabric, stitched it together and voila... it's got a hell of an effect

Posted by Dj-HordasH on Nov-21-2002 18:33:

btw congrats to Wisla

4-1 over Parma ? Wow

Well done

Talking

quote:
king of clubs: How come you have friends that are DIF suporters?

Because i have friends who live in sweden (stockholme)who are obsessed with Djurgrden and have liked that club for quite some time...and after a while all there ranting and raving and hooligan like tactics have prevailed and turned my opinion in their favor (Djurgrden's)...its been around two years, perhaps a little longer i suppose. There is one swedish lad who goes to my university, he's an exchange student, but i dont think he likes Djurgrden at all! .. oh well.

and i probably am the only Djurgrden supporter in this tiny little country, but thats ok ...i might head over to sweden this summer, if not this summer then next!! i was supposed to go last summer but i ended up having to take care of my damn sister and go with her to france and italy instead ....anyways, peace.

ps: anybody see the barcelona vs real madrid game? ...damn, that sucked!!! i hate draws. (0 - 0)

Wisla Krakow vs Schalke, hmmm I would say we have a chance against, in the games against Legia Warsaw they didn`t show nothin much and I think its 50/50 who will go on, I hope its Wisla tho.
Too bad that the rematch its now in Poland, but Germany is still close so who knows maybe I`ll go see the game there.
Wisla Pany.
I hope Vitesse kicks Red`s a*s

Wisla will have a good chance to make it to the 4th round! And Vitesse, hmmm it wil be very diffucult but nothing is impossible!!!

Don`t say that about ur team, your team already kicked some German a*s now its time for some English a*s whipping
I hope Wisla wins tomorrow, cause if they don`t its going to be really really hard to make to the next round since it will be a away game then. My predictions are Wisla Krakow - Schalke 04 3 - 0, and Liverpool - Vitesse 2 - 2.

Posted by Wiley on Nov-28-2002 13:35:

Well hopefully liverpool will perform tonight and put a bad few games behind them.

Posted by Projekt4.o on Nov-28-2002 23:10:

Wisla sucked today, I mean they riged, I didn`t saw the game but I saw pieces of it. First half was good, but in second WHY da hell did they went to defence. Your at home turf you want to score as many goals as u can, example AEK Athens today , I think I`ll play some money on them, even if they lose 3 - 0 they are in , tho not likely to happen for them.
Sorry Vitesse, but you can still make it back since you only lost 1 - 0 away. HOME SWEET HOME
In two weeks time we will know who will make it. I won`t be here, I hope I`ll be celebrating my teams qualification to the next round in Germany

Posted by Dj-HordasH on Nov-28-2002 23:29:

Didn't Liverpool play away today ?

Posted by Projekt4.o on Nov-29-2002 01:11:

Yeah you are rite Dj HordasH, mah bad ppl.
Damn that will be even tougher for Vitesse now to win in Liverpool on Anfield Stadium. Tho Wisla isn`t in better shape, to play in Germany on AufArena

Posted by Dj-HordasH on Nov-29-2002 04:12:

L. I. V. - E. R. P. - OOOOOOOOOO L. LIVEEEERPOOOL FC !

Houlier better start playing Diouf soon or I'm gonna get rally pissed

Posted by Martin McG on Dec-02-2002 19:13:

celtic 1 - celta vigo 0

we should have scored about another 2 goals at least! oh well the away leg is coming up which will be hard but i can see the celts going through again! can see us scoring 1 or 2 over there!

Posted by Dj O'Callaghan on Dec-03-2002 00:46:

Aye Come On you Celts!!!

On top of that I can still remember some of crowd trouble at Ewood Park 159 Celtic fans supposidly charged into the ground illegally haha . Also we're top of SPL to top it all off.

Posted by Fundamental on Dec-04-2002 12:46:

Fantastic... Never knew you were a Celtic man Dave..? Knew Call was though - though there were only two of us...

Anyway, Celtic coped in the first leg without too many probs (thanks Rab!). Just dissapointed we didn't score more than one. Could have all but tied up this round.

Old Firm game soon... Chance to extend that lead...

Posted by sebby on Dec-10-2002 04:15:

I was originally rooting for Legia, but I wouldn't mind seeing Wisla go all the way. Shalke 04 is in Wisla's way. So let me get this straight. If the game ends in a 2-2 tie? 0-0 tie? Who advances in each case.

I am a pretty good soccer fan, but not as crazy as you guys. I got Hockey, Basketball, Football, and Baseball to follow too. Plus, they don't show that much European soccer here. Whenever I go to Europe, I would watch soccer as if it was the only thing to do.

To show you how much I like soccer, I feel bad saying the word soccer. From now on I'll say football.

Posted by Martin McG on Dec-13-2002 17:20:

well all i can say is! cmon the boys! ha ha thats celta vigo out now!

Posted by sebby on Dec-13-2002 21:31:

Wisla goes to Germany and wins 4-1 over Schalke. This team can actually go all the way. Too bad I can't see any of these UEFA games. Hey guys, remind me to beat my dad up for moving us to America.

......

Liverpool
1) Strongest Squad

Bumpin the thread up, since only two weeks await us, till the ball gets back into action.
Here are the pairs again, Slavia - Besiktas, Hertha - Boavista, Mlaga - AEK, Lazio - WISLA KRAKOW, Panathinaikos - Anderlecht, Celtic - Stuttgart, Porto - Denizlispor, Auxerre - Liverpool, all games will be played on 20th and 27th of February 2003.
I think the most intresting game for me will be Lazio - Wisla, tho Liverpool and Auxerre might be very intrestin too.

Haven't noticed it when I was at Anfield Road on the 12th of December! Really no atmosphere in that stadium!!

Posted by Mercury20 on Feb-18-2003 00:18:

i think a team to keep an eye out for are: fc Porto (portugal)

runaway leaders in their domestic leauge, and are led by Deco (who might be making his debut for the portugal nats. soon)

they play Denizlispor (turkey) in this next round and i don't think they will have any problems advancing

the other portuguese team in the cup, Boavista - play Hertha Berlin and have played a lot better in the cup this year than in the portuguese leage, where they find themselves in the middle of the pack.

i don't think they'll advance

Posted by OLi_A on Feb-18-2003 06:02:

liverpool will beat auxerre
i hope
