It's funny, I know a LOT of dance fans who also like metal and metal fans who are partial to dance music. Seems like such a weird crossover.

Back when I was a wee 6th grader I'd rock out to Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer - befriended a kid in my gym class who had a Metallica shirt and loved metal. Found him on Facebook some 15 years later and he's posting Digweed and Nick Warren livesets :P

I had a roommate like that, although he got sucked into the realm of drum'n'bass. He apparently found kinship with the rhythms.

I listen to classical, jazz, rock, folk, and country music. Heck, I even listen to death metal.

Just a tip: Try to keep your playlists diverse, just so you don't get easily bored with a particular genre. Also, try to expand your horizons. Electronic music is great, but it isn't the only great music in the world.

Im into keyboarded metal, some acquaintances I know wont listen to edm, but they'll listen to ambient/atmospheric black metal. They also listen to satanic idiotic stuff so I dunno.

For the most part, even electronic music tends to keep this under control, but when you find a track with an intended mass of low-frequency sound, it can become quite overwhelming. Indeed, listen to a bassy track for too long on these headphones, and it can feel a bit like a torture technique, and it's certainly quite wearing. But with that gripe out of ...
