all of the examples listed were me. i guess i'm on my final countdown too.

I'd say we don't really need a corestitution. we haven't had one in ... 11+ years? people make dumb mistakes and others take advantage of it. i'm sure something like this happens every year. and if someone REALLY wants to be a dickhead and get information, they'll do it anyway (i.e. the Jay/Russell incident).

the stunt that just recently happened has happened before with other members, nudes, vivid, etc... maybe not to this extent, but I swear I've heard stories like this before over the past years.

So will this corestitution make that type of activity stop? I highly doubt it. there's even idiots like Nou who just asked to be banned for no reason other than they have no life and feel the need to be on TA every waking moment.

so what IS the solution? hell if I know. I've never been involved with any of the stupid crap like this. I'm just a normal, regular poster. :/

It's got nothing to do with "blame". My point is that you are open to this kind of attack from people who are not even registered members. If someone wants to fuck you up with personal information and has the know-how to do the kind of detective work you're talking about, banning them from this forum won't stop them. People need to stop running their mouth to almost total-strangers about extremely personal or outright illegal activities. What we've seen is the tip of the iceberg in terms of potential damage. Jay always stopped when the point had been made.

You can't legislate a forum of thousands of people according to what made you like the place. The whole borestitution is retarded. The Cor is not dying because of Drama for the first time in years BECAUSE of the drama we have old posters posting again. We have more than 4 active threads and there seems to be responses every few minutes rather than every few hours.

If you put in effect rules you will have to enforce them. Considering Swamper does not come online anymore how are you going to unsuspend the people who are suspended???? one by one you will be perma banning members without even knowing and thus putting the last nail in this coffin for good.


I don't think the cor needs 2 mods. Personally I dont think Lira should be modding over here. We appreciate the creativity and the idea, but its not going to happen. We understand you want to protect petite lil selma but punishing the cor is not the way to do it. Anyone else believe Lira should only be a member of the cor and not a moderator of the cor say, Aye.

Let the cor speak, and before you delete this alt i'd like to say this is Vivid and I am posting because my voice should be heard as well since I am one of the biggest contributors to this forum in the last 12 yrs.


Anyways, all for Lira being demodded from the cor say Aye! Stu was doing a great job anyways (eventhough i technically beat him for the position 2 yrs ago) and lira has made this place kinda weird now

It won't stop them, you're right, but it doesn't mean we'll just shrug it off and let people be abused left and right - at least not here.

It was never our intention to protect people all over the internet, as that's clearly an infeasible project. But, as far as the COR goes, we'll do our best.

Yes, it's anecdotal. No, it's not irrelevant - your experience isn't irrelevant either. Mind you, not a single one of the rules stated here would stop you from learning from the other users who mocked you for being an ignorant at the time... and it wouldn't shield you from some of the abuse either. If you read the rules, you'll see we don't want this to be a plurful place full of unicorns, rainbows, and bird pictures. We're just drawing the line where it's always been, and letting users know what the rules are.

In short, the only real change is regarding transparency. Perhaps a stricter take on what we called bullying (reason why I mentioned my experience), and that's it. This is hardly a tyrannical attempt to turn this into a plurtopia.

I've had this idea for ages, and I was made a mod because Stu can't be awake 24/7, so we're taking turns. This has nothing to do whatsoever with that suspension, although I do think the time is right to post this.

I mean, really - was there any change in the moderation here since I became a mod? Apart from this thread?

Ps.: And I was not protecting Selma any more than I'd protect any of the people harmed by the actions I mentioned in the first post.

I just think we have very limited posters left. you're better for the cor as a poster not as a point of authority.

we used to have 1 mod when we had 100 active users. Nothinghas changed in here. we all know 3 times a year some type of drama is going to boil and will kick start the cor again when it gets boring.


You did realize we had like what??? 4 active threads before that whole shit show??? I think the crazy drama posts are needed. and anyone getting offended by a drama post needs to get off their computers and walk outside for a few hours anyways. Ta is a battleground, always has been always will be. Some people realize theyre going to get flamed and take it with a grain of salt and realize in reality we're all just strangers anyways and none of our opinions matter. I got to give it to Nou. Nou gets openly dogged the hardest, has personal shit used against him on the daily yet hes never butthurt because he knows none of you matter and really know shit all about anything in his life.


i dont think members need protection. I just think a lot of members need their heads checked.

People like IGK and Srussel are prime examples. They ask for it. They get flamed and then the next moment they openly walk into a thread and start with the person who flamed them thinking theyre going to get back at them. Thats what derails the threads.

Really, Eric, it's fine. I'm not trying to protect anyone any more than we're expected to. If you know anything about the way I moderate (I've been a mod in the Political forum for years now, and I was mod in both Iberian forums), you know I'm actually very lenient and hardly ever take any action. That's why Trancer-X had a melt down here, if you recall it.

We're just making the rules clearer (I didn't just come here and post it on a whim, this has been discussed for a while now). And if that happened again, under the very same circumstances, I'd probably have just closed the thread first (as that's an option available to me now).

I mean, this is already your second alt this week, and instead of following the rules and suspending this account, I'm letting you have your say because I think it's important! Not really tyrannical, is it?

and that is why i think enforcing rules is a HORRIBLE idea. I dont even break your rules that often but for those who do, they will NEVER get unsuspended. Swamper is never on the site lol. youre loading up a workload to a guy who hasn't punched in to work for over 3 weeks!

We should be working on getting people making accounts again rather than limiting what people can do or say on here.

but lets take the example of jay. If Jay continues to be Jay he's bound to get suspended and if he doesn't I wouldnt want jay around anyways. I dont want a calm respectful jay. I want penis in mouth, teaching asian kids where aids comes from jay. I want nasty mean jay.

but if he continues to be that jay he's suspended which pretty much at this point without swamper means Jay is perma banned. that means one less IMPORTANT Character in the cor, bringing us down to 9 posters.

Lets say srussel has a taampon fit again and comes at someone in a thread. we call him McRussell and he turns the victim card again and starts wikipedia - ing how his people were enslaved for 3 days during the great depression to fetch bread from a near by town. Im automatically suspended again because I wont let that slip. bam we're down to 8 posters.

then Selma comes back here and someone calls her princess Morrocco kaboom thats another suspension we're down to 7.

Basically the way i see it the last 3 posters here are going to be lira hal and selma with their pet dog srussel.
