FL doesn't get any of those guys, not anymore at least. Looking back on it, the Andy Moor booking in Tampa in 2011 was huge (and the place wasn't very full at all and I remember how dead the bar was). We don't get that shit anymore.

Hey, even at Pure Trance showcase during WMC wasn't packed and it was a very small venue. Plus, no one was at the bar so I can see why Trance acts or Trance audiences don't bring in sufficient money to the club owners or promoters.

I do speak with my money, when the party is deserving I have no problem spending money. In 3 weeks I'm spending money to travel from Cape Cod to NYC for barely a day to see Askew and then head right back to work the next day. The trance promoters have all but disappeared since WMC.

It's ok for me, because after ucforange opened my eyes to the other genres I don't give a fuck as much. I can wait an entire year for a quality dj to come to Miami if I have to, but I definitely won't be giving any promoters/venues my hard earned money just to support them bringing the same shit here for the yolo idiots.

I don't believe Donnie is saying just go to any shitty show just to support, but rather do go to some half decent shows and while there spend money at the bar giving the impression that Trance can and do make money.

I was there, majority of the reason Pure Trance didn't pack the club was because of Ultra + other parties going on (even though technically it was sold out). For instance, Kearney was playing at Space. Trance is small potatoes in Miami.

Attendance built up during KSky / Solarstone. Room was packed for Giuseppe. Then died off during J00F down to 40 people or so. I was in the back during J00F stompin' and twirling my glowsticks like a madman.

Bar is the BIGGEST problem for Trance events. When a venue wants you to guarantee 10-15k on their bar, it's an instant buzzkill. Not happening.

We have Ferry in July and I'll be making another big announcement soon for Labor Day Weekend.

I agree. No matter what event I go to, and even if my wife hates me for it, I always try to put some money on the bar. As a promoter I understand that importance.

Whether or not you guys actually want to support my company, make sure you like EDM MIA and Trance Family Tampa pages on facebook for event announcements. I would say like Trance Family MIA's page but the page owner is never around and ignores everyone, so good luck with that.

I'm not even in the industry and I always guessed this is the real problem with miami bookings.
Venues down here want big bar spenders because they're used to it.

But yeah, I see your point. Trance crowds seem to be much different than the other genres.

Hey, I've been that nasty fuck whoes paid $2 for a cup of ice water at Space then proceeded to refill in the bathroom sink. LOL!

Just so you know, don't ever pay for a glass of ice water. That is free and they must provide that to you for no cost. It is illegal to provide that to you.

Duly noted Donnie. Will I see you at Gryphon tonight?

Did not make it. Was planning on it but got stuck finishing up a few new remixes, was just exhausted when finished.

Well at the end of the day its my money and I definitely don't feel like tossing my money to a half decent show. This upcoming Friday I'm traveling 7 hours by bus to get to NYC for John Askew, and then right after the party heading right back. I don't mind spending the moolah but I have to feel its worth it and honestly Miami or anything within driving distance does not give me that feeling.

Then what are you looking for? The reason Miami promoters can't afford to bring proper trance to Miami is because no one is supporting it.

My definition of half-decent and below is the trouse artists that are still marketing themselves as Trance. I don't have a problem throwing my money at a promoter if he brings some good stuff to Miami. If I weren't on Cape Cod working til end of September, I'd be at the Ferry Tayle show at the drop of a hat. I just don't see why I "HAVE" to support the same artists that cycle through Miami on a yearly basis. I'll support the proper Trance, just not what the Armin and his cronies are marketing as such at this point in time.

Your doing a great job btw. Bringing Ferry Tayle made my mouth water when I heard about it. I really wish I could be there to support that show. Looking forward to hitting up the next event I can once I land back in Miami.

I have some amazing talent in the pipe line, but it's all dependent on support.
