He played the most boring 90 mins of music, i have ever heard. His set went nowhere and to make matters worse....luke fair was playing a mint set. Then Sander Kleinenberg came on and tore the house apart. |
For those of you who asked why we hate Dj Jean, here's a short list:
1) He can't fucking operate a mixer on his own
2) He doesnt produce the shit he takes credit for
3) He acts and looks like he should be on N'Sync and not associated with the trance scene.
My vote for worst Dj: DJ SKRIBBLE. Wanna fucking kill that guy. MTV's poster child.. worse than everything you guys threw together.. spins at MTV beach parties and shit.. thorws the lates from Ja Rule in with the latest from Iio.. wanna fucking choke that bastard.
BTW i think it's unfair to judge BT on his mixing ability... at least he doesn't think he's a DJ unlike Jean & Skribble.
this asshole named mike anthony for a local club here in houston, then this ahole named dj greddy from around here as well, of course the alligator ass, and then jean tops it out.
bobby d, and To kool Chris. they play these guys on this radio station in chicago (B96, ever heard of it) and they suck. they play so much cheese. much of which is remakes of old 80s songs. (eg- sweet dreams)
back in the day up until last june most of their mixes involved slamming the crossfader to the next song's chorus.
(this may not be entirely true. i've only heard these guys on the radio, and the radio station decides weather or not to play them, so they may just be playing "flavor of the month" tracks to hook listeners.)
but i would seriously kick my own ass if i was playin some old 80s song in my set...
DJ Tiesto 4Never.
Don't like what he mixes and no special mix technics.
I guess Pat Krimson

Lets get the facts straight, Jean did one shitty job at Trance Energy
but his madhouse cds are good, just let him play what he likes to
play.
Worst DJ in the world at the moment gotta go to Tisto, I was listening
to some gig he made at Party 938, yikes.
No mood in the mixing at all, you are listening to one tune and it is
all so obvious when the next tune is mixed in because you can hear it
veeeeeery clear.
Like at his Impulz-set and he starts mixing in Mach 747 - Invading Privately [29 Palms Remix]
from the beginning with the piano or whatever it is, not skipping ahead into
the beats and going from there, i think it sounded awful.
Judge stinking Jules and Dave roll another fat one Pearce!!

what do you think about Marc Spoon?
His last XXL Clubnight was so bad.
There is no mixing. He plays one track, then the next one and so on.
Awful!

you all complaining about tiesto and those.....now i would say:
ME!
`you should've heard me!
whoo! i thought i was the worst, my competition mix is pretty nasty if you ask me. But, i heard that some peoples are actually worse than mine! whoo!
This is a Hard One..... HMMMMMM
VOTE goes to Tony Draper in NY (Exit) (CD's, and every song kills the bass and brings it back in like he's doing something special, murders tracks such as we know what u did, blow the speakers by mixing them with NYC Hard House)
Oakey from 2001 till now (hr and a half, trainwrecking old shit with commercial cheese, now i think he is on fire)
Maurriestoakey (Formely Tiesto) NOW, Pick a fucking style and learn how to mix, u can tell from TE 2000 and innercity he has no clue how to mix BUT i thought he was getting better (NOPE).
Johan has his momemnts (Technically wise)
Talla 2xlc (who is like my favorite dj in the world, but man he knows how to party, same thing with Acosta, Too many pills + a bottle of JD = I cant even hold two tracks together for 20 seconds)
Overall ALOT of people suck mainly beacuse i think everyone takes the easy way out in mixing and that is to slam a tune in right away to hear it on the outside and cut the bass 20 seconds into the mix (Cover up mistakes) grow some balls and beatmatch for a while.
dj alligator.
that damn whistle song. christ.
I dont think that Micro is bad at all, in fact he has great track selection, and his skills are up to par unless he drinks too much vodka behind the decks
. Last time I saw him spin he spun a great high energy set, throwing in some great tracks including DJ Kim - Jetlag (Alphazone Remix)
As far as worst Dj is concerned, I think its all up to opinion as usual on these forums, further more nothing was said in the original post to guide selections (ex: mixing skills, track selections etc.) So this is just another in the long line of opinion based threads.
u dissin blank&jones

IMO, for their reputation and popularity, I'd have to go with Blank and Jones...their mixing is SOOOOOO boring and flat, although they play quality tunes, their sets are aimless...they fluctuate between uber-cheese and quality, and the way they structure their sets is terrible. |
