I knew TO was meant to be like this but now that I've been here a couple of months, I kind of get why a lot of people don't like it. It's a negative feedback loop, everyone is making it worse for everyone else.

It's super interesting from a social study perspective. I think Lira would have a ball here if he was visiting for a short period, just studying the way people do things here and their mindset. In fact, anyone with an interest in psychology and human interaction would have a field day here.

People definitely seem more open out west but the nightlife is meant to be terrible if you live there.

Toronto is filled with pretentious unfriendly people. Everyone works like 12 hrs a day and try to show off their money when really they have none. That being said. I run this city

Unlike Toronto's which is just a bunch of fucking boxes all jammed as close together as possible. It's totally a perfect reflection of what the people are like - competitive and out to prove something, but to the point of gaudiness.

That there is my biggest gripe. They just don't fit and they've made no effort to make them fit. The entire city is just a jumble of buildings with no cohesiveness. Also why are they not creating communities on the lower floors? Shops, cafes, the odd pub, etc. Every condo area is a ghost town.

Not to mention that they are poorly built too. I've had a look at a lot of them and none of them have impressed me at all.

e- Liberty Village is the only place where you actually have some sort of community.

Thats because Van sits in one of the most picturesque areas of the PNW. It'd be stupid to make the city ugly, so they don't do it. Thats the mentality out here, in the US and Canada.
