Bring back Gallery on a regular basis...that room was always packed. Why they closed it still makes no sense for me but I don't know the inside scoop so oh well.

They closed it because it was dead every Saturday so they had no choice.

Sounds like you're ready to move on to Harvest Festival, Eclipse, Shambala, Burning Man...

Posted by ItalianPoiSon on Jul-29-2013 14:23:

In all fairness for the new generation of house heads or ravers or neon kids or what ever the hell you wanna call them, this line up is not bad if your into that sort of thing...

What really makes me upset is 5 years ago if you went to Labour of Love you were getting 7 rooms with atleast 4 or 5 different sounds; trance, house, tech house, drum and bass, and maybe something else...
now it's like electro and trouse... which is more or less the same noise... that's what grinds my gears... that in the fact that i miss the co2 canons in the main room lol

You know what's fucked? They're having a foam party in August with more rooms open than any long weekend party I've seen in years. Most djs I don't care for, but still. This here is a true all access party imo

I wonder about the probability of several things on this night:

1. The chance of 'Levels' getting played.
2. The chance of Talal standing around, frowning with his arms crossed, not enjoying a single moment, even though he's just put another 2000 people through the door at $100 a head.
3. The chance of Mark Oliver slowly dying inside that he he has to play to this type of crowd.
4. The chance of it being full of people under 25, wearing fluro-themed clothing and 'Where's Molly' sunglasses.
5. The music being the least important thing there.

My guesses?
1. 100%
2. 100%
3. 100%
4. 100%
5. 100%

LN2. Liquid Nitrogen.
CO2 is carbon dioxide. Not as strong an effect.

I miss my cannons.

Nah I dont thnk so, Mark, Joe and Fab I think have all learned just to enjoy it, the last couple of time i seen these guys play they were luving it and fully embracing the "edm scene/sound"... and hell why not if you got 2000 kids in front of you going crazy and you got ink giving 3 solid gigs a week, believe me if your a local dj you will eat that shit and call it lobster dinner...

whatever their feelings are or aren't are of no real consequence. They are professionals with a job to do. And this they do and do it well..week in week out. In 5 to 10 years some of these "neon" kids will be reminiscing about Mark, Fab and Joe and what an impact they played in their lives.

Let the kids have fun... if we're not going, don't shit on others for going.

As Gera said, we have many other parties that weekend that will cater to our likes and ear, so let the rest of the people invade Guv and enjoy themselves.

It's one thing to poke fun at artists and music, and even maybe a bit annoying to see Ink booking as they are, but in the end, we have so much more IMO now that we can enjoy. And there is no reason we gotta shit on others for going to Guv for LOL. My plan is Guy J then Electric Island and I'll enjoy my weekend.

And not liking the music at all personally, those are very good bookings.

As much as i like New City Gas, its a shame its only open till 3...

on another note Mark Knight is playing with MK at Pacha NYC for one of the EZOO after parties over the Labour Day long weekend... HOPEFULLY one of our great clubs will book MK while he is in the general area... would luv to see him at Moskito or Electric Island or even Sunnyside...
