Oh brother. I don't think the OP is being that unreasonable and I think there is good advice as well. I don't even see much of a disagreement about substance here, mainly a disagreement about the style and tone of discussion.

I think this is more of a question for the 'production section' as it relates to marketing your music.

Yeah, I didn't realize until afterwards.

Okay, I'm sorry for making assumptions. Can you please correct me by telling me:

A) How old you are.
B) How long you've been listening to electronic music.
C) How long you've been producing.

?

Step down for a second and reread what you wrote because if you look closely, you're pretty much just telling me what Kadomony said just less respectfully and with more words and a little more detail. You have no actual advice to give that hasn't already been given, so why do you feel the need to feel superior over anyone else? Especially me. What the fuck did I do to you?

I never asked for a "magic formula" to become the next big thing. I asked for advice on how to get more recognized where I'm currently at. I'm sorry that I just want to feel a little more accomplished with my music.

Shit. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the "advice" but I'm not going to take your shit without at least attempting to defend myself. I understand what you're saying and it does make me happy that (despite your attitude towards me) you do enjoy my music, but couldn't you have shown me the same basic respect that I would have showed you given the chance?

It's common fucking courtesy.

lol wait till you meet looney4clooney

I forgive you, and I'm sorry for being an asshole about it. You were right about my age though, I'm 18. But I've been listening to electronic music since I was born and started playing around with music since I was about 12, I didn't actually start taking it serious until I was 14.

I'm not some new guy who has no idea at all about music, or the scene. I have no idea what to do at this point with my music and I just needed help.

I don't know if you guys care at all, but if you've noticed that I've taken down my music and think I'm quitting for good, I'm not. I'm going to take this advice:

If you're serious about what you do, I would slow it down and really think about what you want out of music. Do you want to emulate or innovate? Grab inspiration from all you favorite music and develop a unique sound which I believe gets you noticed. Stay true to yourself.

And work harder on my music like SYSTEM-J and Syntonic said.

if you have to ask ...

You need a brand
You need something to sell that people care about
You need to be interesting
And you need to be lucky

there about about 1 million people like you. Focusing on intangible goals is not going to get you anywhere. Murder your parents. That will get you noticed but even then, you would have to do something fucked up or have some sort of personality.
