When you leave work your life is yours. Or better yet, if you work for yourself you have complete freedom to set deadlines and quotas. When I was in school I never had a Prof take me out to a $300 lunch to discuss a project.

No, no, no... life on the outside is sooooo much better.

Oh ya, I'm 23 by the by...

riiiiiiiight, what freedom is that? i work 9 to 6, every day... by the time i get home, i'm basically fucked... have an most 2 hours of "freedom" and them sleep and wait for them same shit all over... over the weekend i barely have enough time to get the time of day... so many things you have to try and finish up, that you couldn't get done during the week...

what about all the other shit that comes along with working... way more responsiblities now... then bills everywhere... bah!

or maybe the freedom to do some studying, do a couple exams and spend time with your friends all the time, or actually just have time to do something for yourself, not for others...

yes, i know the cruel reality of having to give up on those things as you get older, but thats why i said i'd go back in a sec!

*cries*

someone shoot me

Re: 'Yer kidding

I'm studying at U of Waterloo where we have a co-op program. That means that I study for 4 months, then I work for 4 months(real job, get paid well etc) and it repeats like this.

Well, let me tell you. Studying is indeed better. It's more fun. At the end of my work-term I'm always so depressed it's unbelievable. And that despite the fact that I'm wealthy during work-term and poor during study term.

I totally agree that styding is much better.. university life is awesome. You go to class, if you want to.. meet a few deadlines. And, if you don't have to work, the rest of the time is just hanging out, no obligations anywhere else. What I hate about it now is that I have too many responsibilities.. and I live on my own, gotta pay rent, bills, tuition, books, parties, travel expences, etc.. my parents don't believe in helping thier children financially after 18.

Wink Who me???

And about that conversation about work and school I think that both sides have good/bad. We jsut gotta enjoy them while we go through those stages of life.

Yeah a lot of parents won't help their kids once they are "Adults" although I really don't feel like a complete "adult" to the world and everyone else I am so I gotta deal with my responsibilities.

Good luck!

I'm 24.

But I'm more like a 16 year old...trapped inside the body of an 11 year old.

I once heard HansSolo fart while he was dancing.
It was one of the more significant events in my life.
