considering it sold out with no lineup i'm not sure why people care that much. obviously it will have a great lineup - if you know today or in 3 weeks not sure how that changes anyone's enjoyment.

it would be kinda cool in a way if they didn't even announce the djs until you go to the event.

tao/tao beach tweeted that they would be releasing their lineups this week.

Because its a fuck you to all the people that spent hundreds of dollars on airfare/tickets/hotel etc that want to listen to music. Obviously the kids don't care(going by the majority of Facebook comments)

What really pisses me off is Pasqual knows he can get away with it since its been sold out for months.


My only reasoning as to why a teaser line up isn't ever released is because Insomniac doesn't want to effect EDC NY/EDC U.K. ticket sales(which are not currently sold out)

this is one of the biggest music festivals in the world. this is the ONLY music festival in the world that has these problems, every fucking year. It's pathetic. His little letter or whatever? that is complete bullshit


I'm still hoping some legit day/night parties come up. 98% of everything posted so far is complete shit. I don't want to hear beatport top 10 lists all week, god damnit, give me some good music.

so glad i didnt buy a ticket to EDC this year. I'll have fun either way during that EDC week but it's looking less and less like there will be any music or dancing which is really disappointing.

Don't know why you are acting like this is a surpise.Lineup was out May 1 last year, and June the year before. This is Vegas not Miami its not exactly going to be flooded with underground label parties. And even in Miami those are not announced until a couple weeks ahead of time...

maybe he doesn't want piss off any DJs in which who is going on before or after a certain DJ

like the Made pissed off PvD by putting him before ATB at E-Zoo wich led to PvD pulling out of the festival...

where did i say this was a surprise? I have gone to EDC 6 times in the last 8 or 9 years. I know how they roll. It's still totally incompetent and inexcusable. One year they didnt even have the timeslots until the thursday night before the festival.

i've also heard it was 130K or more. they were permitted by the fire marshall to go that high already. they capped it at 115K on their own last year.

crazy. that's a lot of people. two years ago when they shut everything down due to weather it was pretty nuts (a bit scary) out there with just 115k. hopefully that never happens again though

Luciano no longer listed for Drai's that Sat night. not sure what that means if its a EDC embargo thing or he's no longer playing.

Best case scenario he still shows up or they put his name back after they announce hes playing at EDC.

I was wondering. Are there really any after hour parties that take place? I mean there's Drais, but it doesn't sound like they have any DJs playing the "afterhour" time slot of 5AM-11AM.

Like Space Terrace, Mekka, Electric Pickle and Ice Palace in Miami...

Wasn't many options last year either. Most would just hit the day pool parties.

last year they had Sasha, Digweed + Dubfire, Carl Cox at Lavo.

year before at Drai's was Sasha, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice


i'm sure you'll see something like that this year.

BTW, I saw the line-up for Lavo last year. Looks like the TH-SAT shows started at 10PM and went till ???? The SUN show however, started at 3AM and went until ???? Looks like that was the Closing Party.

Still seems like slim pickings for a city that serves alcohol around the clock and supposedly "never sleeps". Surprised hotels don't offer some of the lounge areas of the casinos for intimate after hour parties.

i'm sure you'll see something similar this year bookings-wise. ignore the 10pm and 3am start times - its irrelevant - the club opens like 8pm. the djs listed above didn't come on until 2/3 I believe...

the Sunday party ended like 7-8am monday morning. its not like Space and def not referred to as a closing party by anyone.

there are EDC official parties on monday afternoon and night as well.

Trust me 99% of the people coming back from EDC at 7am are wanting to go to sleep not looking for some after-hours party so there is little demand for it - the demand that is there is filled by Drai's, the Lavo parties, etc.

After a day of Vegas+8-10 hours on your feet at the Speedway everyone was toast and couldn't wait to sleep.

With the pool parties you could get a good 4-6 hours of sleep then hit the pool around 1-2pm if you're that hardcore or have a kilo of Meth.
