well the bottom line is this: it cost them not even 5 million to make a movie of stuff they enjoy doing and they make anyway, and on the FIRST WEEKEND it banked in 22 million, and that number is only going to grow...

However bad of a rating the official movie "reviewers" and newspapers give this movie, the bottom line is it made everyone a LOT of money (including the movie company), so these types of movies will only be more common in the future, as there obviously is a demand for it.

No matter how sophomoric you consider this humour to be, some of it is just downright funny (most of it harmless to the average bystander and viewer), so if you don't enjoy it, don't go and see it... But some of us cherish this humour..

yeah, stupid marketers...get a new idea, and dup the hell out of it. i haven't watched this movie yet, waiting for it to be released on the *cough*other*cough* "theaters"... i seen the ckys before and sorta liked it, but not worth paying 5-9 bucks for it on the big screen. But i heard eric koston is in the movie though, so its a must see =]

this thread was created so you guys could give me your reasons for liking jackass and your opinion on it....if anything, you are the bitter one who thinks that everyone should think it's funny. and as for how much the movie banked...that really doesn't mean shit to me. they are far from genius imo and i still think it's mindless humor.
