cannot wait to catch Solomun at time warp!!!

Originally posted by cl384923 Certainly not foolish, i think everyone was just hoping it not be the case. It seems at least thus far more prevalent than last year if Drumcode departs as well, guess will have to see what else rolls out. On another note, Ricardo is tough to judge from gig. He can be musically all over the place and very sloppy mixing especially depending on the condition he's in which is well documented. I've seen him twice at Cocoon, once fantastic and once horrible, and at Time Warp in NY this past November he was fine and far less sloppy than i think most expected.

Originally posted by gimmebeatz i would like to finally catch him in person also but theres just too many conflicts at time warp so i never even made it in his room last year. hopefully this year is a different story at his time slot. if Carl cox b2b with capriati peaks your interest, get to that room early! last year we ran to our locker quick before just carl cox and it took 20 min to get in so many people were flooding to catch his 3 hour set. this year will definitely be worse now. the nice thing is that they wont overfill the rooms either. as people leave, they let more in. very well run and organized.

Soul claps house of efunk is closing Sunday @ the pickle. Getting tickets for this. Black Madonna, Troy humphries and more tba. gonna at least pass by as its right across the street from where we are staying.
This funk\soul movement is very refreshing. So tired of all the typical sounds that everybody is playing.

This will be my first year missing crew love the past 3.
They just released tickets to the efunk party. HUGE names gonna be there, tons of Chicago soulful house dj's. Might be the sleeper party of mmw this year. Presales were only 10 bucks!!!!

Originally posted by Faceplant black Madonna has been on fire. It blows my mind she doesn't really get any love in the USA, she is HUGE in Europe. IMHO crew love is over priced this year, if I was in town fri early night I would probably still go though.
Speaking of Black Madonna and Mike Servito, I get to check them out at a Resolute warehouse party next weekend in NYC. Honestly looking fwd to Servito much more than BM - that style isnt my cup of tea- but I know people rave about her sets. Will have an open mind.
