Okay.

Poor Jimmy. If he man's up he will say you are right.

You know, for the lifetime obligation.

You're a full-blown bragger Jenny, and a judgemental bitch to compound it. Cut it how you like. Jay is a dick and he loves to bully others for not having their shit together, but at least he can get tanked on whiskey and admit there's plenty of shit in his life. You will always be that annoying girl sat two seats back on the plane who spends the whole flight talking about herself, and everyone in an audible radius is mentally going "Just shut up..."

And no, you don't care what we think. Lolololol, etc. Show a re-run, we've heard it before.

"Okay"

That's what HE said.

Well nobody's forcing you to read my posts.

Whatever you say, slylee.

Posted by DJ RANN on Apr-24-2016 18:55:

Damn, this got juicy.

Do any of you actually enjoy your jobs or the thing that pays the rent?

The posts here seem kind of bleak; people just working in things that don't like for money. I own a business (well two technically) and I fucking love it. I work ridiculous hours (easily 70+ per week, if not 80+) but I wouldn't swap it for anything. Sure there's times when shit has gone wrong and you're struggling, and you think, fuck it would be so much easier to just have a job/9-5 but then once you've worked for yourself, the thought of working for someone else just doesn't fly. They'd have to pay me a fucking fortune.

Posted by Dykes_on_Jay on Apr-24-2016 19:17:

I actually do enjoy my job. Best gig I've ever had. Beats all the other shit I've done before.

Own boss? Lovely...yet, it brings stress in the sense that it could be gone at a moment's notice.

I work too much.

I love my son.

Do it so he can have everything.

9 to 5 life sucks dicks...but i get that security aspect too.

Can't get ahead, but will always be fed type deal.

I was never a condom guy.

Generally I enjoy it, although when shit hits the fan it can be extremely stressful. Mostly it's a very relaxed working environment and my company are not remotely corporate - nobody cares if you come in 15 minutes late (as long as you don't take the piss with it), they'll let you be flexible with hours if you have some personal shit to attend to, stuff like that. It's also extremely good for my commute - 25 minutes maximum at present, my commuting costs are currently about 400 a year which I will cut to zero if I start cycling. The work-life balance is very good.

The main downside is the salary is average at best. I know that I could push myself and go work for a bigger, more corporate outfit and get paid a lot more but honestly I think it would drive me crazy. I'm really fucking terrible with corporate mentality and authority structures, etc. Job applications make me nauseous. Still an idiot rebellious teenager at heart, I suppose.

If we can get a mortgage together and find a decent house by the time I'm 30 I will be pretty satisfied with how my life is progressing. I know people who earn a lot more than me but they have stressful jobs, long commutes and can't save money at the end of it all.

If you fuck up at a 9 to 5, you get a warning...

You fuck up this way? You gotta do 9 to 5.

Eh, all I care about my job is the pay. It doesn't really matter what I do as long as I get paid enough.

Funnily enough they just made me a supervisor regardless.

I'm sure you'll say we're ganging up on you but this rings true.

I'm out enjoying my day but I'll have to catch up on the last few pages of this thread when I get home.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Apr-24-2016 19:54:

Actually no, and I just don't give a shit. Oh boo fucking hoo, you guys don't like me or the way I post. I'm not going to change or stop posting because you don't like it. Ganging up. I'm not some victim. Fags.

Sorry for being on topic here.

Yesterday we went to the Efteling theme park with people of my work and my son who's just 1 cm above the minimum length (120cm) for the Flying Dutchmen suddenly sad he wanted to ride

So we did. If I had watched this video before I wouldn't have done it maybe. It was dark and I couldn't see if he was doing okay before we came outside. And there wasn't really a moment to look at him that point...
But he was fine, unlike my colleague's daughter who cried and screamed the place down LOL.

The sound and theming before the ride is amazing though:

I don't care my daughter doesn't like roller-coasters, imagining she would have asked to get in the Baron 1898 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb_43hWuVkQ

And what was performed?

Hahaha, I do, actually. It was all in Brasilia, and I had no idea we'd go anywhere fancy (I went there for a long week-end). Not that anyone seems to have dressed up - it was a free event, so we plebs took over

And she (Fuzjko Hemming) played the usual suspects: Debussy, Mozart, Chopin, and - my favourite - Liszt <3

I'm about as close to my dream job as I can right now. Sure, I'm teaching Japanese rather than linguistics (and I like Japan about as much Jay loves all things Chinese), my wife and I are struggling to teach in the same university, and meetings are way too long, but I'm paid to do what I like (do research and teach about language), and work hours are pretty flexible so, yeah, I definitely enjoy my job!

I particularly like the "I followed a new friend into Central America" part of this post. Trust me mate, this is the best way to go backpacking. Sure, you'll have some solid plans on places you want to check out, but go with the flow and the good people that you meet as much as you can, it's great. I did this for nearly 3 years... what seems like half a lifetime ago now... and it was the best. The absolute best

Not sweating at all, unless it's in this hot ass Mexican sun lol.

This underworld of travelers is amazing. You're totally right. Finding like-minded folks and jumping around together is a part of it, I'm realizing

Yeah, it's pretty damn cool. That's how I ended up spending a few months in South Africa. Never a place that I'd ever dreamed of visiting, but I met some really cool people working at the same pub as me in England and we all ended up heading over there. That 3000+ kilometer road trip was one of the most amazing times of my life. We're all still close friends, too.

Have fun, bro.

You hate Japan? Because I hate the shit out of China.

I'm only here for the opportunity and cash. The people and culture can eat a big bag of dicks.

Lol @ slylee's last post. They are ganging up on me. Time to get on that jet ski and split.

Ah yea, one of my very close friends lives in South Africa. Will definitely end up there one way or another.

Thanks

I wouldn't exactly say that, because I've met some wonderful people born there, from friends to (now) family. But let's just say I think of the country as an Adelian ex I broke up with amicably: I'll gladly talk about the country for a career, but I'm jaded and I've had enough, so I wouldn't go back there unless I was feeling lonely and got an ill-timed drunken call.

You know, like Adele would.

No, dummy. I said I do not feel ganged up on as IGK suggested. And you teach English? No wonder you have to work like a dumb dog. I'm sure you'd love it if I felt victimized, but I don't. So keep at it.

What happened in Japan? It sounds odd holding a grudge against a country. Howl from the other side (of the Pacific). Btw what language do you sing Adele songs in?

A nurse is a very honorable position. They make the world go round in so many ways. Being serious too.

It must suck living in bfe Ontario and being out earned by a troglodyte.

Frank zappa said it best.

"Only women bleed."

What did you make Jimmy for dinner tonight?

Kobe beef?
