what a great night...it was nice seeing everyone out...jdat, thomas, shannon, caryn, foxy (where my wavy gravy - i die), ian, john, melissa always having the best time with ya, lizz who's gettin takin advantage of? LOLS, tom, matt i wanna see some pics man, chris anytime (you kno hehehe), scott, the list goes on and on and onnnnnnnnn i had fun but i am definitely paying for it..the legs~! as for the night, let's see...i definitely walked away with a smile on my face, the tune that got me and art kno's this - wavy gRaVyyy and as art would say it...i die...but man there were sooo many, the spell, nothing but you, step right on, ahhhh bliss...all my anger and stress was wasted away by smiling...enjoying it...and might i say, there was a sea of vandit shirts lols.....

WOW! Was last night for real or was I dreaming?! That had to be the best PVD night I ever went to. Actually, The best club night I ever had. Everything about that night was soo good...THe HUGE number of TAs there. I dont want to leave names out, So i'm just gonna thank everyone for making it an awesome night. You Toronto TA's are verrry cool to chill with! The club it self was good enough for Paul to play in. Lazers and sound were AWESOME! As for the set....OMFG!! I DIED NUMEROUS TIMES! I didnt hear Time to Die or Mistral...but that was ok. All those SICK ass new tunes that no one could ID made up for it! When PVD went a little melodic, you can tell he lost the crowd a bit, then he slammed it back with some HARD shit. YOu could tell Paul was enjoying himself the BEST last night out of the all the times he played NYC this year. He definatly gave it 100%. anyway...im out. I have pics. I can email to someone to put them up here.

....all the TA i met seem to be really cool nice peeps... all the out-of-towners i hope you enjoyed our twilo-jr (as i like to call roxy now).... i expect paul to finally stop whoring around all the NY clubs and finally settle down and pick this place for his residency...

IMHO:
the good - spinning - awsome quality - seemless and no mistakes

the bad - track selection - i didnt like it that much - why does every european DJ come to NY and expects us to love house and all the hard shit?.... we got house up the wazoo here.... i go to see paul for the tech/trance he spins.... dont get me wrong i like hard and deep house - just dont want it from paul -i i mean c'mon funkatron?? wtf...

the ugly - NO continuency in his set... he jumped around more than a tripped out twilohead.... he's my fav cause he alway takes you on a jerney - it always feels epic as if there's a storyline to his sets... didnt feel that at all this time

ok now that i'm done ranting about all the bad things...
i must say - ONE AMAZING NIGHT!


PS I'll ID myself since i dont post much - was the the guy in a black/white striped shirt (tel'nyazhka)... who was offering [vick's]-like nasal balm

WOW!!! What a night, Pvd spun a wicked set, Paul van Dyk vs. Delerium - Angel of Silence blew my mind!!!! PVD just keeps proving
to me why he is GOD! Had to be one of the most amazing night i have had in a long time.

Well i must say that flying all the way from cali just to see pvd was definetely a nutty idea, but it wasnt the only reason i flew over. I did enjoy PVD for the little bit i was there but mizz had to go back around 3 am and he was really my ticket to not sleeping on the streets so i went back with him. I have to say it was nice seeing Fox, Opti, Redeye, Devantes, Drizzt, DJlord, Thomasdatt, s0t, ny1004 (thanks alot , you know what for), and Richie (dude you are the shit).

But i must say if it werent for meeting all those people and especially for mizz being such an awesome friend for me that night we came back early from PVD, i think the trip woulda been a complete disaster.

Friday 5:30AM. Gamma, Stereoprincess, Halo20 and Myself start driving from Toronto to New York.
Friday, 7PM: We finally reach New-York, extremely tired and exhausted.
8:15PM - We come to the meet-up, just to see nobody there.
8:30PM - People start gathering.
The meet-up went really well I thought. Met lots of NY TAs. You are guys are really cool !

Anywayz, at 12AM we were already inside Roxy. I really liked the setup in the club. Kind of reminded me of Kool House in Toronto. Lots of couches and places to sit down before PVD came on.

Now, I've never heard PVD live before, especially 6 hour set, and so I didn't know what to expect. and what a set I heard !!!!!!!!!
PVD played the best 6 hours of music I have ever heard. True, he didn't really play any of my favourites(like nitromethane-time to die, or GTR - mistral and some others), but his set was sooooooooooo goooood ! And he kept up such high-energy for the whole 6 hours.. Unheard of ! Unfortunately at 7AM, fatigue, drugs and something like 30 cigarettes that I burned that day, got to me and I got really sick. Because of that I couldn't really enjoy the last hour of Paul's set especially with it being so hard. That's what I don't understand, why does he play hard shit when he knows most people are already dead on the dancefloor?

The crowd at Roxy was really good too. Didn't see any attitude really. It was really packed in the beginning, but towards 5AM it started to clear up a bit.

Thanks so much to my companions from Toronto for giving me a ride. You guys are awesome ! I hope you guys made it home allright !
Dahippieman, Pvd_s11dj - great meeting you guys, can't wait to party with you again ! Rubyriva - amazing outfit. I'll see you at Talla !

Also props to all other NY TAs I met, sorry can't remember your names !

it was one crazy nite admittedly. i loved the hard shit at the end, but it seemed like i was one of the few. haha...anyway, it was great meeting all of you. i look forward to partying with you guys again.

wow where to begin....

well i was bouncing off the walls at the meetup - it was so cool to meet so many ppl. we'll have to do that again so i even have a chance at remembering everyone's names.

roxy was not nearly as crowded as i expected, which was wonderful. i was comfortable, if not a little hot all night. for those of you who were comparing it to twilo - i don't know.... i mean, mike bindra threw the party and all but i still saw a lot of the normal "sexy at the roxy" ppl, who were probably he type to say "PVD who"? but fortunatley they cleared out when the bar closed. speaking of which - ladies, wtf was with the bathroom line?! i spent almost 90 min in line that night!

so his set - OMFG!!! well now i remember why he is undisputedly the BEST. I mean, several of you know i am a huge Sasha fan but they are not even in the same league (or genre for that matter). furthermore, i don't even like trance that much (*braces for TA flaming*) but PVD can make me like anything. i know a lot of you disliked the electro (thx to Ian for clearing that up for me) but i was totally feeling it. the variation in that set was killer. and the chilly peppers remix! that was sweet.

i think that night would have been incredible if i went and knew no one there. but being there with hoardes of TAs made it so much better. we owned the disco ball! i met so many ppl and you guys were great. i don't even want to try naming ppl because there are so many moments with different ppl from that night that still put a smile on my face.

hope i see you all soon. i know i will see PVD again on monday, completely breaking my no sundays/ mondays rule.

NO fatigue and cigarettes here..

I was standing to your right when you passed it up to get signed. I was in the white, sleeveless Love Parade shirt which I passed up to him a bit later to get signed (with your marker, THANK YOU!). I kept reintroducing myself to TA people the whole night so I will wait to post my review til I can my roommate gets back with his digi cam (to take a pic of the shirt) so you all can remember who I was.

How great was it to start off a night of PVD with a TA meetup? Choobak (Arnold) and I were at the Sbarros on 47th wondering where everyone was. Hehe but then I called pyro264jb (John) and got the correct address.

I was blown away when I walked in and butterfly (Melissa) came running up to me with my name tag. Awesome preparation Melissa!! Ok I'm not gonna list everyone that I met cuz there are just too many to name but let me just list a few: Greg-Great seeing you and knowing that you are upholding the Hawaiian look, john-you're awesome!, Tom-sorry about how ur night ended but glad to kno you got home safe!, Brian- *austin powers accent* Do I make you horny baby? DO I??? hahaha, Halo-You rock man! haha. It was great meeting you!, Exponent-It was really great meeting you. I'm sorry that your night didn't turn out as expected. I tried looking for you throughout the night, but you left early so no wonder I couldn't find you! I was glad to help in any way that I could, Fox-Even tho I know your name is Arturo when I saw you I could only think Foxy! Hehe great to finally meet you! Ricky-Great seeing you again! Sorry PVD didn't play your song.

Ok there are tons more that I want to mention but I'll stop here to keep this short. But dancing with all you TA's really made my night. Thank you all!!

I loved how PVD started with banging tunes from the get-go. I was expecting some progressive in the beginning but he started and ended with a bang. You all should stretch your legs periodically throughout the night and especially after. Thats what I did and my legs aren't sore at all.

you are correct, he played a remix of funkatron then into Rockik - memories (robbie rivera juicy dark dub mix), then into DJ Tiesto - Obsession(filterheadsz mix).

What a night, it was great to meet some new TAs and put faces on the names. (Scottaculous, Starfox, thomasdatt, Aya Brea, jdat, Drizzt, Devantes, b i n k u n) As for the TAs I know already I'm glad you all made it.
PVD did not disappoint, although I was waiting all night for him to drop "Nitromethane - Time to Die (Seraque Mix)". So many tracks PVD dropped that blew my mind. I think you guys got it all covered already, but I have to say that when he dropped that remix of "By the Way" I was like *&$%)#@)(#!)(*!!!!!!! All in all a great night and I hope we can do it again.

PS. Steer clear of Fox when PVD drops his own tracks, cause a couple of times when I was in front of Fox and PVD dropped one of his own tracks I almost got crusehd. Fox just jumps up and down like there is no tomorrow while the person in front of him is feeling all the weight that is fox on his back. All good though Fox I understand. hehehehe
