Well this was fun, I'll be here all week.

Now ask him if they're named after minimal techno. You can have pedant points because I said "word" rather than "genre" in my previous post. Cling on to those pedant points, Kenny. They're as good as it gets for you.

LOL "Jog the fuck on!"

edit: lol or should I say walk the fuck on, in a blizzard... listening to minimal. I crack myself up.

Although I'm not really a gamer, I decided I'd buy "Civilization VI: Rise and Fall" just for the hell of it. My vacations were about to end and, you know what? Big mistake.

It's not really that fun, but I can't stop trying to beat the damn computer

I used to game casually back in the day. I should have, however, realized/admitted far earlier that I did and always will suck at gaming. It would have saved me some money wasted on hardware, for sure.

My husband brought home an SNES Classic on the weekend. That is all.

Posted by ControlFreak18 on Mar-05-2018 21:28:

Shit thats a great surprise. More of an N64 or Sega Genesis man myself, but there are some great games for NES. What games did he get?

Also whats an SNES classic?

Edit: never mind, did not know that was a thing. Thats was the one shitty thing about the old school gaming consoles was needing a component cable converter to play on a modern tv

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-05-2018 22:10:

Yeah, and of course you can side load it with whatever other games you want as well. Pretty sweet!

I wanted to pick up the NES Classic when it released, but I wasn't going to pay more than retail. Fuckin' Nintendo...producing a hundred damn units and acting surprised when demand outstripped supply.

I mean, does it count if the two only games I play are Civilization (because I can do other stuff while I take turns) and Candy Crush Saga? But, yeah, I must've easily clocked 24 hours or so on Civilization VI last week... all because Malcolm Turnbull, or whoever the in-game Aussie prime minister is, keeps trying to flatten all my cities.

I'm a hippie, goddammit, I just want my citizens to go to rave parties and develop high-tech bongos

One... more... turn...

Exactly! The thing about Civilization VI and Civilization V, however, is that there comes a point everybody else starts ganging up on you when you're winning, so even if you're a runaway leader, it's quite boring when every other turn someone declares war against you.

I mean, imagine this in real life:

US - Yay, we're now the world's leading economy!
Mex and Can - Time to taste muerte, you hoser!
