That Tatoine remix of The Deep Edge is nice. Shame the B side of the original release hasn't been put up, though.

That annoys me to no end, good old stuff disappearing from the download shops.

I noticed just now the parent label Touch isn't on BP or Juno at all at the moment, hence the absence of Music.

Thanks for posting this, found some nice stuff

Nice one for sharing the lostit.com track. All of those versions are slightly different from the Perfecto release. I remember the CD single version ended in a very bad loop that drifted off its bpm, making it almost impossible to mix.

I never heard the Finiflex version before and now prefer it to the Trance Mix on Perfecto. The beatless outro just feels like a better finish to a track that doesnt let up...I guess the outro is the only difference between the two.

Nice, thanks! I don't think I'll care much for those new "official" reworks, going by the samples, but glad to see the original versions not just released digitally but also remastered. And I agree on the Icarus mix; I think it's stood the test of time fairly well. Would be nice to encounter it in a set. Some stretching to a slightly slower tempo perhaps.

All of these can be downloaded and he also has some classic sets too.

There is now also a Rhythm Syndicate website where the catalogue is available for purchase (MP3, WAV). It seems considerably cheaper to purchase from them directly, and I also just noticed that on Beatport the Tyrantanic release is missing one of the Slacker mixes, which is included on the RS website.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on May-16-2020 10:34:

I'm a little disappointed with the sound quality on some of those RS releases. The newer ones sound better, but the earliest stuff sounds suspiciously like it might have been ripped from vinyl.

Still threw Pariah - Ruffneck Rhythm straight in my new mix though.

Duncan Forbes's Animated - Quivver EP, directly from the masters.

The Animated album is up on his Bandcamp page as well.

Yeah and quality differences between individual tracks on one and the same release are noteworthy as well. I was just listening to RHYSYN005 and the difference between Ocean Wave - Clearwater and the Voyager remix 1 of Velvet is enormous.

And what is up with some of those early Breeder tracks. The kick drum on The Chain is unrecognisable. There's a full version of Chain on the digital release of Ferry Corsten's Solar Serenades VA which is of SO much better sound quality. Will have to search for full CD versions of other tracks, too. If they exist at all.

I'm very happy that the back catalogue was made available but this doesn't seem entirely ok.

the pandemic has made a lot of artists put back catalog/previously unavailable tracks onto bandcamp in digital... it's my biggest expense right now.. I'm getting fucked, i can't resist

Thanks for not listing any of them.

Worm Popper

to be fair, no one really listens to techno on this forum. just joining discussion after a couple of early afternoon beers

And Moby? you can get stomped by Obie.

Nice copout

Posted by planetaryplayer on May-29-2020 01:17:

Alan oldham put up a couple older tracks, truncate put older releases on Bandcamp, clone always reissues but two or three Drexciya related releases surfaced. I got a Regis and Oliver Ho album, James Ruskin rereleased some blueprint. I cant remember them all( I passed out on couch)

Posted by Midlothian on Jun-02-2020 10:26:

Look at this one, it's practically silent. If anyone knows a good quality source for the Stef Vrolijk mix of Dusk - Stars, let me know please.
I'm increasingly put off purchasing older tracks from BP considering all the shite files they're selling (also early Bedrock, Taste Recordings come to mind).

So I was cranking Escape - Cascades this morning and the inevitable "Fuck, I wish I owned the Fluid back catalogue" thoughts were going through my mind, so I decided to have a look at Mr Jamieson's FB page. And lo and behold I saw the following status from 2nd June:

Another question. If by some miracle of lockdown, Fluids back catalogue was available on all digital platforms, would you want the original tempo mixes, (it was all a bit fast back then), or slowed down to fit todays tempo of tracks? Or both? Just a thought.

Followed shortly by the announcement of "Fluid2" as a label, and a 4 hour livestream of Fluid classics tomorrow night. It looks like it might just be happening, people.

Fuck yes please.

It's a coronavirus miracle!

Thanks for the update.

Hes just started the stream on twitch, search the username bazzevo.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Jun-05-2020 18:33:

I thought I saw a Syntonic flash up in the chat box. It's buffering pretty badly for me, unfortunately.

Posted by Syntonic on Jun-05-2020 18:45:

Yup

Try refreshing or lower the stream quality a bit. If not, hopefully he has VODs enabled so you can re-watch it.

It nice the catalogue will have original and modern tempos, and wont skimp on the quality either. Some releases are so quiet...I was also disappointed with some of the Rhythm Syndicate tracks, no TLC involved.

Posted by Midlothian on Jun-05-2020 18:53:

Bazz is sporting quite a beard these days.

Cheers Syntonic, almost forgot about the stream. I'm very very fond of Fluid's catalogue and Barry Jamieson's work.

I do tend to move stream chats out of sight when they are full of hyperactive facebook people .

Some vets showing up in twitch chat - Noel Sanger, Lemon8, Steve Parry, Jon Sutton.

It sounds like unreleased material will also be made available too.

I was hesitant on whether modern tempos would work or just feel weird but its doesnt. Still no confirmed date on the releases though.

That would be fantastic. That is one of the great things about some digital rereleases - additional versions we've not had before.
