My good ole days there were back in when Spundae was there on Fridays and Sundays. So there's always a bit of nostalgia for that venue much similar to the old Club Circus that was here in LA. Circus got too old and wouldn't keep up with the times (sound and lighting being the biggest problem). April: both coachellas - dammmnnnn! I think you did this last year, right? 5/11 - British Murder Boys, Skee Mask, Shed, Kia, dBridge, Time Reaper, Dwarde, Wonja, Mothbot, Luke Vibert (yep this is a real lineup for just ONE show) - where is this happening? I've never heard of these folks. How would you describe their sound? thats it so far |

Thinking about going to Skyline Festival (just Saturday). Anyone worth checking out that night? Besides the usual names. Not big fans of Hot Since 82, Marco Carola, Camelphat but I'd see Marco for the hell of it.
Chris lake? I know hes the headliner but you didnt mention him
Hes been making music for over 20 years now.
Adam ten is somewhere between house and techno
Mind against is melodic techno. I dont really know them but their name has come up a bunch. Im also not huge into melodic techno, but it can be good
I dont know anyone on the east stage lol

Friday I went to 1015 for Ben Ufo and conducta. it was alright, nothing special. Ben had smooth mixing as always but the track selection just didnt do it for me. I've seen him many times, this was the only time i was meh. I will still 100% see him again
Last night tho, hooooly fucking shit. Jacques Green b2b nosaj thing, was FUCKING NUTS. Jacques green is a fucking electronic music messiah. The crowd was S-tier, only there for the music (unlike 1015 which gets a lot of really shit/trash people), very respectful. Good vibes man. One for the recordbooks

The tier system is used across many things and is a grade. F, D, C, B, A or S.
1015 is no longer the crowd you mentioned. Theyve moved on. A loooong time ago. Its now a majority 21 year old tech bros, mixed with whatever the pull is for the artist that night.

I went Sunday night Weekend 2 and saw a bit of Khruangbin and then Anyma. Both were great! Checked out the new Do Lab stage. It was impressive and apparently its the new design for the Woogie stage at Lightning in a Bottle. Cant wait to see how it scales at LiB. Then I saw Bicep close out the Mojave stage. They absolutely killed it! Oh man what a vibe. All in all it was super fun. Sadly I did not have a burrito though

| Originally posted by jonmitz This was the most unsafe event I have ever been to. I almost called the fire marshall. Dj Dials can go fuck himself. He himself told me, and I quote "I dont run unsafe events" LOL They sold over 750 tickets* for a room that has a 400 person fire marshall cap, WITHOUT a stage installed in it, which they had. So what - capacity was probably 350? It was foot to foot and shoulder to shoulder, and easily 90 degrees inside. Nobody where I was, was having a good time. Everyone was clearly not having a good time. Only reason I didnt call was we stood by the exit doors, and really wanted to see Salute. I regret it. I did not have a good time. Honestly I should have called. They would have shut that party down. A lot of people would have died if a fire broke out, or any other event that would have caused a rush towards the "exits" which absolutely could not handle the amount of people that were in there. San Francisco has had a lot of these events since the pandemic ended and eventually something bad is going to happen. If I can help it, I'm never going to an event this shithead (dj dials) runs solo. He is a fucking moron with no respect for human life. *for all we know he went over the 750 cap because they "sold out" and then he magically released more tickets, TWICE, which he claims he held back but lets be real, lol. this was a huge disaster waiting to happen all so dj dials could make a few extra bucks |

| Originally posted by david.sound Overall it was pretty ok. It was crowded but not entirely sardine canned. Im probably just getting old but it was primarily kids (24-30 ish, yeah Im old haha) that acted like 18 year olds cutting in line at the bars and bumping and pushing into us nonstop with zero apologies. One girl cut in front of me at the bar and brought 4 of her friends in and took forever to order, then as she was leaving, she was like youre in my way to my friend and then said theres too many f*cking people here ohhhh the audacity. Worst than Solomun shows. You guys didnt miss much. They drew in the rudest generation of hipsters that Ive ever experienced in a while. Even though I couldnt really dance to it, the music was still good but the sound was too low but Im not surprised. It was more of a wave your fan in the air and take instagram photos vibe. Appreciate Framework for bringing them in and the artists themselves but the crowd meh Would probably skip next time theyre in town. Id like to see these guys in another country just not here. Or would settle for Miami or Denver. |
Anyone going to All Day I Dream this weekend (5/11/2024)?

Hitting the AARP Techno party today. Over at 11pm. In bed before Midnight grandpa style
