Anyone who sings about killing a pregnant woman is FUCKED UP in the head, that guy is a thug, and I can't stand how little kids, and the so called general people that live around me in this area worship this guy???? What the hell has he done for society, all he is, is a pop musician with shitloads of money, and who knows else what he is, this guy is no different from Vanilla Ice...A quick trend that will go away. Maybe i'm wrong, maybe i'm being a tad bit hypocrytical here, but he really ought to shut his mouth up, clean up his act, stop badly influencing the young generation of people, with his horrible music, and go see a shrink or better yet go to jail. As you can tell i really hate this idiotic jerk. Cheers to Moby to be the first out there, who's in the eye of the media, to take a stand, defend himself and go against the trend. Two words sum up Eminem, HATE MONGER.

Couldn't have said it better myself..

...until P.Diddy got his ass involved in the music, it was good...then it tumbled into commercialism.

And guess what P.Diddy is getting into next? I have a feeling that in 10 years I'll be saying "Man, back when I was 19-20, this was the shit. What you kids are listenin to today is ass."

*sigh* this is why I'm losing respect for Deep Dish, because of their collaboration with that guy.

This thread shouldn't exist. A minority of us actually like Moby and Eminem, so it doesn't make sense to observe and dissect their comments toward each other. With that said, people listen to techno, so lets stay.

That's probably because he is smarter than you... I mean, genes probably have something to do with it... He is after all related to Herman Melville. He is one of the very few "down to earth" celebrities, unlike M&M...

What have you done in your life that will leave a legacy??? I hardly doubt anything. For someone who considers himself an EDM fan, you surely are too simpleminded, which, of course, would explain your lack of sensibility and intelligence.

Now, feel free to prove my point by your rebuttal.

DJ Isaac - Nobody Listens To Techno.mp3

just go listen to that both Moby and Eminem...

and settle this like men... 2 guns, 2 bullets... a straight 20 metre line!!!

Posted by spit_heron on Apr-26-2003 15:14:

never heard a moby song i liked. Saw him live and it made me want to kill myself, but thats just me, and i realise this guy has done many good things for electronic music, and i respect him for that. On another note, I love how people equate running around and having energy as "stage presence" and a "good performer". I go to see musicians and DJs to be entertained by the talent they posses (hopefully) in their particular occupation. Running around and being energetic is not entertaining or talented.

On the topic of eminem, i do like a few of his songs, but i am not a big fan of his internal ryhme technique.

My thoughts. Late

Eminem I don't respect as a person. He has good beats, but his lyrics and ideologies just plain suck. The guy's an asshole, period. The only reason he's succesful folks is because there are many people that share his views out there. Just tells you the condition of our society...

how can they..........there is no Ghetto by there house.....

oh and you are from the "hard streets" in seattle??? that is rediculous...hey everyone look...i'm a "G"...

in response to the other criticism of moby...there is nothing wrong with a man that is well-educated...moby has always been a very modest star and in that sense he isn't a "pop star"...

"Man, why are you so dumb?" (c)Amit (royalty paid, certificate on file)

Seriously - did you know that Moby also DJ's???? Did you ever see him spin??? Did you ever hear him spin?????? I did, on number of occasions - even back in the days when he wasn't a "celebrity"... He used to spin at Trocaderro in Philly and he always tore the place down... He was the first true EDM producer I ever heard live and he inspired me... I started playing synths after his shows. Furthermore, he is trully passionate about his music, a pacifist, and overall decent human being. He is a kind of person you could meet in the restaurant and probably have a conversation with for hours - about everything and anything.... yet you write a blank check for "minority of us"... When was the poll and where are the results???

It is sad sad sad to see this animocity between prog and trance lovers... It's all good, it's all edm, it's all supposed to evoke emotion. One thing I will give you is that his album "18" was nothing to write home about. But some remixes from that album are just wikkid...

Anyway, as far as Enemam goes, I hope Tupac's fate awaits him... and reall soon... The day I see his mug painted on the back of SUV window with signs "In loving memory - R.I.P Eminem" will be a good day...

I wonder how many white trash shitheads he inspired??? To hear that the movie 8 mile was nominated for Oscar is an atrocity and is a sign of apocalypse...

Fuck Enemam he ain't nothin' but another fad... I got 2 words: Vanilla Ice...

Eminem is a lyrical genius.
Moby has a right to defend himself, but that wont make me like his music.

Posted by wackattack on Apr-27-2003 03:35:

i think they both suck.moby is like mr.mtv2 and eminem doesnt know his ass from his ass kissing lips.

I think Eminem is the 1 acting like a 5 year old for 'dissing' Moby in the first place, as well as the whole Christina Aguilera thing, what was with that anyway?

Posted by xanadu on Apr-29-2003 19:49:

This probably has been posted already, but I find it funny that Moby is the epitomy of selling out. Every song on his first album was licensed out, he made somehting like 4 million dollars from those licenses. Obviously, those are lucrative contracts, but I don't see Eminem selling himself like some cheap whore to every buyer. Moby is just as much a pop act as Britney Spears or N*Sync.

Posted by Hondaswaper on Apr-30-2003 01:28:

this is more like a U.S. VS the world not a MOBY VS EMINEM thread

Posted by Christopher B on Apr-30-2003 02:37:

It's no big deal, it's the same thing that was happening before when Eminem and the Insane Clown Posse were having their little feud. My personal oppinion was that Eminem ran out of things to bitch about so he decided to take a stab at Moby.

In another interview a while back, they asked Tiesto who his favorite producer was, and he said it was Moby. Then they asked him something like "So you're not on the same side as Eminem on this issue?" and tehn Tiesto goes "I'm gonna kick Eminem's Ass".
