We just post here because we have friends here that we usualy see, and know well.

Size matters? Nobody has ever complained about the size of gatecrasher/republic. And i will tell you its smaller than many 'superclubs'. What makes a club for me anyway is the ambience, atmosphere, people. But whatever, enjoy your 'bigger' club.

I'v complained about Aria before, i will admit I have had my complaints but when you come and meet the owner you'll see why this club has a place in every montreal TA's hearts. You won't find a more down to earth owner. When was the last time the owner of the guv came on here and talked to you guys eh? When was the last time he came on here and appologized for a bad show or expressed how excited he was about an upcoming dj. Just come and meet him tell him you are a TA you'll see.

I will say one thing about lineup confirmations. When he announces them here, it's always final. And he usually announces them here first before anywhere else. The surprise djs are already booked.. he's just having fun with us.

Also about the upcomming parties at aria the formula one weekend is going to be sick. Trust me.. the third dj is bigger than Armin (and pvd is already here the 17th so use some deductive reasoning) and he is selling a limited number of tickets.

Also easter Weekend Montreal is where you want to be

Paul Van Dyk thursday the 17th (only 2000 tickets and the early $35 dollar tickets are going fast)
Im sure he will have a SICK lineup friday and saturday.
And sunday at Ball en Blanc
1. Roger Sanchez
2. Mistress Barbara
3. Armin Van Buuren
4. soon to be announced.. but bigger than those three I know trust me

Maybe that's the place where I want to be, but the place where I will actually be at that time is school (I have an exam scheduled for the easter weekend! Beat that!)

But yeah, Formula 1 weekend is one sick weekend in Montreal for sure... hopefully will make it up there for that again!

Don't push it now bro... Montreal during the summer is great, but it's too freakin' cold otherwise! So, if I was ever to think of moving somewhere from Toronto, it would be south, not north, either Mediteranean Europe or Florida (Miami)! But I'd still visit you guys once in a while...

And regarding the comment on girls in Montreal, yeah, I have to agree, there's plenty of hotties up there...

yeah it is colder in montreal, maybe 3 to 4 degrees cooler. but in the summer its really ugly in TO with all the smog you guys have, I couldn't see the CN tower when I was there 2 summers ago!

I'd have to say as someone who lives closer to Toronto, I'm in the Montreal forum a lot more! There's more talk about music (because so many DJs pass through there in their travels) whereas the TO forum has a lot of non-music related threads....

If my life weren't in Ontario, I'd be in Montreal in a second. The talent that comes to Toronto doesn't compare to the number of big DJs that go to Montreal....and mostly because of Aria. Aria is WITHOUT A DOUBT the Industry of Montreal, for those of you know what I mean....it'll be that legendary club that everyone will talk about when it's closed...the music, the lighting, the people, the vibe, etc.

I don't know much about Aria,

is Aria a nightclub, or a club that gets rented (like Viva) when Trance/Raves get organised by producers (like Destiny)?

It's a club, not just a temporary venue. At places like Viva, Destiny will pay the DJs and cover the expenses, and usually what happens is that destiny will take the money from the ticket sales, and Viva owners will take the money from the bar.

At Aria, the owners are the ones who run the show.

not to compare TO to montreal but such narrowminded person like us are fighting to tell wut the best club is guv or aria



i must say both clubs must be nice and very different from one to another

yes montreal is a city with loads of chicks and thrust me on that

BUT

aria is not the place to find hot chicks(there are some but not that much)

actually there is a lot of gays in aria, but gays are normal people dont diss them

but its a nice place and theyre are some girls but not that much
