Soccer is the universal sport guys. I watch both regularly and enjoy both. Their different in many respects and it's hard to say this one is better than that.

What Springer is really thinking:
Now onto the real thing that makes sports good. Is it quantity or quality because as far as brawling is concerned hockey has any sport on fights, but they're over in a few seconds and generally not much happens 4-5 punches generally that don't really land. Soccer on the other hand, gets crazy when a fight starts! Baseball brawls are fun to watch too.

Ok, I have to make a few points...as a Habs fan myself, I would have never hired Therrien in the first place. Why did Montreal NOT HIRE BOB HARTELY!?!? Even Ted Nolan is a capable, proven coach. Forget larry Robinson...he sold Canada and our teams out long ago....yank sellout..I hate them! I hope Julien works out...but he has no NHL experience.

As for PROPER football (not soccer!), it's a great game. We Canadians are biased...hardly anyone other than Canadians, Russians or Swedes give a damn about hockey. It can't even get a full ESPN TV contract in the US! PROPER football is the world's game boys..simple as that.

Anyway, Italy play the most defensive, boring football ever...and they're the worst swan divers too (along with Brazil). Anyway, all this Italy and Germany talk is ridiculous...England would have mopped the floor with either had they been able to beat Brazil. The winner of the Cup was going to come from the England/Brazil quarter-final either way. England are the inventors of the game...but Brazil is, and i hate to admit this, the best at it.

Oh, the NFL is shit...the super bowl is the biggest joke in sports! Nobody even cares about the game...it's all commercial entertainment and huge parties..it's not about the sport anymore..half time shows, fireworks....give me a fucking break.

English Premiere and the Spanish league are the best football leagues in the world...Serie A sucks.

The argentinians and the brazilians could all make careers in hollywood. Its part of the sport down there and its even glorified a I have no respect for them.

But the NFL is the best run professional league in the world. Only league where every team gets a fair shake. Look at teams like madrid and man U.. all of the big market teams just buy the best players.
