We have trance events EVERY FUCKIN MONTH ! And even more than that !
As far as UK goes - Gatecrasher is monthly, Cream is done etc.. In Amsterdam - Kremlin has been closed for like 6 months(reopened under new name now, don't know how they are doing), another club "Now and Wow" in Amsterdam is about to be closed. Even Tiesto himself is a rarity in Holland nowadays. Line-up For Trance Energy 2003 is SHIT !

DUMONDE is coming? ARE YOU FOR REAL ! ITIKIA - Pleeeeeeeeease say this is true ! This will be the happiest monent of 2003 if that will happen !!

What he is saying I think is that this forum only posts a few of the events that happen in Toronto (and mostly trance events). Which is only a small portion of the scene in Toronto.

Proggy house is WAYYY more popular in toronto then trance, trance is still known through out Tdot clubs as fluffy pop music. Which I don't agree with but hey, what can ya do. You can argue with me, I don't mind, but alot of people don't come here, so it's not truely what represents the T.O scene .. (I would say wemf, and destiny parties are more close to what T.O is all about)

Point being is that, there are alot more clubs playing prog house then trance, you just don't see it on these forums.

well yes there IS a rave culture in TO. however i fail to agree that people dont come here from elsewhere to see big name djs

i remember tiesto, we had tas from detroit and NYC who came up here

there was also a girl who came all the way from Vancouver to see him...

If you have only seen Tiesto, and PVD and the other on here live, you sound more of a Dj groupie then a music fan IMO...nothing wrong with that.

Btw, I have met Ta's from detroit, NY and England...and yes, the Trance events are great...but it's not all there is to Toronto, you misunderstood what I typed, not everyone come on this forum in Toronto, Only ta's....there are thousands of other people in tdot that don't come to this forum, that go to parties every week.

I'm suprised that someone who has been here for so long has so little faith in the Trance comminity in Toronto. We once ruled this city and we will once again... its slowly happening. Ask random ppl at the next party if they've heard of tranceaddict. You'll be suprised how many lurkers there are out there. The stigmas that were put up surrounding trance are slowly falling and old ravers are coming back to what made em fall in love for the first time.

And yes the BEST thing about Toronto is the diversity that exists within it. The scene was build on one of the fastest growning and largest rave communmities in North America in the 90's. Its still exists today but has grown up some and now has had to deal with the "politics opf dancing".

Argueing with ppl about what scene is better or bigger is fruitless since you'll get different answers and opinions from different ppl

We got hype parties in almost every genre of electronica. And your absolutely right what truely does define Toronto is the rave community. Clubbing culture is totally different and it is the rave culture that started it all. It is only now that some clubs are catching on.

To add my 3 cents into this I will just state some well known facts:

Sasha @ Kool Place --> not at capacity
Digweed @ Kool Place --> not at capacity
Tiesto @ Kool Place --> capacity and beyond

And you say Toronto isn't a trance town??

I think everyone likes trance in some way or another, but many don't like to admit that they like a form of music that is liked by the masses. Especially after the bad press that was out about trance after 99 and well into 02 (DJ Mag, etc, etc.).

i HAVE been to film, and several other clubs. I listen to all kinds of electronica but my favourite is trance.

the problem about trance is that the women over here dont like it cos they cant "groove" to it. its rapidly growing tho here and from people i know in other parts of N. america, it aint. and for ur info, WEMF wasnt in toronto...i didnt want to say that to make u look stupid but i HAD to correct it the second time u brought it up in reference to toronto.

You know what the second part of the problem is?

ill tell u... when people like several TOTAs in our forums try to organize a noname event to celebrate trance, people like u dont show up and support it so stop complaining and start attending

Itikia can you please confirm/unconfirm Dumonde??? if you don't unconfirm, we'll all assume that they are coming !!!!
