Perhaps I should have rephrased and said "Canada is more dependent on the American economy (then they are on Canada's)". From a trade perspective (surplus/deficit) [REMEMBER THIS IS THE CONTEXT!] I would have to agree with the statement I just made.

American policies influence Canada's policies [and a lot of other countries too] - and vice-versa - that's politics. It's give and take [hopefully].

At what point does it turn into abuse? Thats beyond the realm of things I'm prepared to answer. Should one prepare a checklist to determine economic abuse? I don't think it's that easy.

I agree you're right. Canada could and most likely would survive on it's own. I also agree with you - the US economy does run the show - for most of the world [or at least they try]- and their power and influence keeps it that way.

Perhaps this wasn't the response you expected.

Oh, and to answer your question (and the title of this thread): I can be very, very wrong at times.

I believe that without failure, and without being wrong, and then realizing it (key point!) I wouldn't be the person I am today. I'll admit when I'm wrong, re-analize the situation/data and then develop another hypothesis (which may still be wrong).

he implied he did. He is insulting everyone for not knowing what they are talking about. Claims he does because he has a masters degree and implies in economics. How would he know anymore than any of us with a degree in graphix design?
