-- the most famous trance track in the world
Pages (4): « 1 2 [3] 4 »
Becoming a recent trance addict, I would say that the only real trance song that I'd heard prior to any actual knowledge of what I was listening to was Robert Miles - Children, only song that I distinctly remember outside of being a trance addict. Until I hit the TA scene, I'd never heard Rank 1 - Airwave, Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel, Delerium - Silence, Darude - Sandstorm. I'd say the closest thing I remember hearing was stuff like Alice Deejay.
the most known track in the world i would say is dj jean - the launch. everbody i know who even hate electronica know of it. way more popular than better off alone, and even darude.
robert miles - children
system f - out of the blue
armin - communication
pvd - for an angel
Solarstone - Seven Cites always does it for me. The original that is !
Without any doubt the most known track is
Cosmic Gate - Melt To The Ocean
I dont think theres a single person thats into trance who doesnt know it, though I really really hate it.

It has to be Robert Miles - Children
Everybody might not remember the name but I'm sure that if u play em the tune they will recognize it!
dont forget: The Silence - Mike Koglin
and for those that did, its the remix of Enjoy the Silence by depeche mode
I would say alice deejay - better off alone or system f - out of the blue since those are the only 2 trance songs she recognizes. and my girlfriend is an ultra trance noooob. (no offense babe)

I haven't read all the replys on this thread, but out of the top of my head:
The Prodigy - Voodoo People
Hmm, I just realized that track ain't trance
Well, then it has to be:
Faithless - Insomnia !!!!!
It stayed on the TOP40/20 lists forever, and it qualifies as trance doesn't it?
darude, people didn't call it europop when paul van dyk played it
atb, alice deejay, dj jean - the launch
underworld - born slippy, faithless - insomnia (popular enough that i bought them 7 years ago)
all these tunes are really well known here, but they won't be as well known elsewhere
Kraftwerk- We are the Robots
Everyone like it
just remembered that Three Drives tracks are very popular too.. principally Greece 2000. Sunset on Ibiza also. But I wouldn't say these are the most popular.
nobody has mentioned Da Hool - Meet Her At The Love Parade?
everyone on earth know this song, like Children, Cafe Del Mar or Insomnia

Hey, how about Yves Deruyter - Feel free?
Robert Miles - Children i think...
well... the original probably isn't that famous, but the dreamversion is... then there is so damn many remixes on it.. hmm

Gotta be Sandstorm. What a classic track. The beat, the breakdown, the structure, pure quality
