2.5 euro/litre??? Wtf???
It's about 1 euro/litre here, and we aren't that far from you. (although we are closer to the middle east ) It looks like you have very large taxes on petrol.

i saw a part of bush's speech on tv today and he sounded totally like that guy from CJ Bolland - The Prophet. he was like "i have the keys and I decide who wins the war..." really cocky and really fake...

and there was some anti-french propaganda too. they were making fun of the french website, bretzelforbush.com or something. you pay them 7.50 and they send a pretzel to the white house, hoping that bush chokes on it and dies. it was so hilarious to watch the supposedly educated newsmen bash france... they were like "bretzel... pretzel was probably taken.. no, it's just that they can't spell... they're FRENCH! they CAN'T SPELL!!!"

i was like, wtf are you talking about, asshole, americans are AMERICAN and their spelling is even worse!

mind me, that was FOX news channel, btw

so this whole news thing was a lame joke, imho. i wash my hands.

Mystiq GOD DAMNIT, EVERY TIME I SEE A NEW PICTURE OF BUSH I WANT TO GIVE HIM A BANANA

Plus theres no oil in the region making a fight with them unprofitable...
Theres just so many double standards they dont have a leg to stand on, atleast dont bullshit the world telling them you are doing us all a favour, your fighting for PROFIT!!
well since so many people oppose war yet you still go ahead its hard not to compare you to fascists, but hey there is money to be made, so i guess its more important than morals.
WHat really cracks me up thou is how bush is teling us he represents freedom, and democracy yet goes against the majority vote, last i checked they called that dictatorship......kinda what saddams doing, too many ironies

why do u think France and Russia wont get involved??...hhhmmm could it because they risk to lose billions in oil revenue?...dont try and act like America is the only one with its own ajenda...

I am sure oil is a part of the war...however it is not the only reason...i mean if we really wanted to oil we would never of left in 1991...u ever think about that??....not too mention we get very little oil from Iraq...the oil revenue will help rebuild Iraq for its people when they are finally free.....

France said today that they WILL become involved if there is checmical weapons use by Iraq in this war.

Which would prove the United Nations wrong in not supporting the States

whether or not Saddam will use bio/chem weapons?

who knows, my guess is, damn straight he'll use them

maybe but they arent killing people for it... yeah its all about the people and helping them.... i wonder when and if the N.korean people will get helped....and your right oil isnt the only part, there are many other factors, trying out new toys in the field, justifying the huge defence budget, distrating people from domestic issues, win a war and claim you saved the free world, get re-electded.......

in 1991 the mission was to free kuwait, not to get rid of saddam. alltho the US/UK wanted to go all the way and get rid of him, all the other coalition members backed down.

it will be a little late then, won't it??

whatever the case, bush/blair cannot lose.
if he uses nbc-weapons, they can say 'look he has them and uses them'.
if he doesn't they will find them anyway.
and if they don't find any weapons whatsoever, they'll say he wasn't cooperating enough with the UN anyway.

either way, saddam is doomed.

War will definatley happen in the next 24 hours for certain, most of the troops are at the borders waiting to enter the border and cannot wait any longer due to supplies, according to FBI Intelligentent sources Saddam has moved most of his firepower into bagdad inc the Scud Missles, Iraq has a very different community structure to ours and americans , he is the leader , Sadam Huesin is Iraq, They is no goverment there is no freedom he runs everything , and he likes to keep his country and his people protected from allies invading e.g America, and Britain etc, His people will back him and so wil lhis millatry , His two sons are inchard of most the armies and a spokes person for his son said that the " The mothers of the American soldiers will be crying Blood ' They think its like a picnic' . Iraq will use Nerve Agents and Mustad Gas , causing fighting conditions very bad for troops. Saddam and his sons have denied Exile that Preisdent bush has spelled them to leave the country in 48 hours, they have said they will fight any opposing force with a bloody battle and it appears this will be the case very soon. !!!

Posted by Robert on Mar-19-2003 15:28:

most if his army will surrender instantly. they are poorly equipped and are not willing to die for saddam. only the republican guard will try to make a stand.

Posted by djSlain on Mar-19-2003 16:02:

many iraqi fighters have already tried to surrender. but the US could not take them as prisoners of war since the war hasn't even started. they simply disarmed them and sent them back.

wow..i feel sorry for most of u who have posted here....how naive can u people be???

i would love to hear a justification for Bush's actions

over the past decade, asfar as my brain remembers, the US has done the following:
1. Kosovo. bombed the fuck out of it, killed thousands of helpless civilians and "rebuilt" it
2. Afghanistan. Bombed the fuck out of that too, killed thousansd of civilians and some canadian privates and "rebuilt" it
3. Now Iraq. same strategy.(only predictions here however)

hmm whats common in all these scenarios??
1. each of the locations are in prime locations in each continent.
-Kosovo is close to turkey, Poland, Greece, and pretty close to russia
-Afghanistan is neighboring pakistan and is close to India
-Iraq...take a wild guess....the heart of the middle east

2. milions spent on bombing the fuck out of it, other countries feel sorry and help in rebuilding the bombed land thanks to the humanitarian state US puts it in.

3. US comes on top showing that they have rebuilt a better place when in reality, there is NO difference

4. Puppets of the US put in leadership of the country

5. US army bases set up in those locations for easier access to other countries that may spark an uproar agaisnt them.

heres the final question.

If an army is labeled "country X"'s army, why should there be bases set up in other countries??

Posted by netw3rkd on Mar-19-2003 19:29:

17 Iraqis have surrendered to U.S troops now.

Hey, can you post your sources on how we killed thousands in kosovo and in the afghanistan? And if you can post some info on how other countries feel bad for places we have attacked and helped.... last i knew it was U.S. Policy to rebuild any country that we attacked..... this has been since at least world war two..... and no one ever helps except for the British. by the way, are you french-canadian? any how..... u.s. claims these places are better but in reality there are no diffrent? since when have you been in afghanistan, or Kosovo? Did you take pictures? if so why don't you post a few.......

here's alittle Kosovo timeline:
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/1998/10/kosovo/timeline/

Kosovo death toll:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/515350.stm

i could be blind... maybe i can't read between the lines, but let me know if you find thousands of the dead killed by the americans.....

Man, that's almost 0.005% of the Iraqi army. I'm sure Saddam is worried like hell by now.

hmmm..i may not be able to provide sources and may be wrong in a few things...u quoted my whole post....

however, u still didnt justify why there is need for a war now

and no im not french canadian...and i was born and raised in the middle east...i have seen both sides of thse stories and just let me remind u about media bia...yes it DOES exist

Ya, know being born in the middle east is like saying i was born in america... that don't mean anything... where in you in iraq, kosovo, afghanistan? c'mon thats like me saying i was in america when the towers fell (I am from and in massachusetts) just because i was in america does not mean i was where the events happened......

yes maybe the media is biased..... thats great.... i am glad it is... makes me feel good about what we are doing.... what makes you think your sources are so much better, why is my source bias and yours is not? do you reporters swear to honesty? how do you know for sure that your source is so truth-filled? we don't know....i think any culture where suicide bombing a great cause and sacrifice is rubbish and something is wrong...... why doesn't saddam make a sacrifice of himself and save his nation form blood shed..... we don't want Iraq....we want him.....

and you want justification for war.... there could be no way in my heart i could justify killing any one.... it is never good to kill..... but the only way to stop the evil people in the world is to kill the killers, and some one has to do it... I don't hate any one islamic, nor do i hate iraqi people... infact my role model is an iraqi architect/designer named Zaha Hadid. I think she is one of the most intelligent people in the world when it comes to architecture. i think Saddam has to be taken out of power..... and man with a reputation like that, you can only take him by force.... if he was so loved, why did he not volunteer to leave so that his people would not be hurt? let them protest his leaving and show america that they love him as much as he says they do..... he will take every one down with him.... he should be killed just for the all the enviormental crimes he committed by setting the oil wells on fire in kuwait.... he should shot in some alley way just for killing 5,000 innocent people...... this was not even an accident; it was deliberate..... that is genocide....deliberate killing of innocence.... we may have killed people by mistake, but never on purpose... not like that....

beleive what you want, just be careful who you call naive.....

by the way, why aren't you still living in the middle east? why aren't you where you were raised? egypt?

We are civilized enough, but saddam isnt.

All these people against war. I wonder if they would change their mind if a terrorist bomb was detonated in their garden.

Saddam murders his own people and fucks with neighbouring countries and he will do so untill he is blown up.

V true....as long as there are people like saddam in the world..they have to be dealt with.

War albeit costly..seems the only option, its clear he doesn't want to talk it out.
