from the UK mine is Paul Mendez, used to be Solarstone.

No shit. is that the same paul mendez that always plays at room at the top up here in scotland??????

solar stone were quality but he's a shit dj.

Anyway, in my view ignition technician hold that award at the moment cos they have some brilliant productions floating around just now, like city loops.

David Forbes

whioops...I didn't mean Carl Cox. I meant Eric Morillo. I dunno HOW on earth I misused Carl Cox's name, but that's just my bad.
Eric Morillo is a badass anyways!

Dumonde (JamX & DeLeon)

If I'm not mistaking, isn't Rough Mullar, Mirco de Gvia, Ronski Speed and the rest of the EUphonic squad from Germany as well?

YES as a producer the last few years his stuff on Bonzai has been awesome and i just got "Deception" and the Airbase remixed one on Go for it which are excellent. seen him dj twice live now in Belgium and in Holland and both times he was the best dj on the night, people have said to me before his resident sets are sometimes a bit too hard , is that not just what the club expects him to play though?

Posted by chesco on Mar-28-2003 12:52:

He is supposed to be the reident dj at room at the top. This has to be one of the most over rated clubs in the uk scene. i strongly advise against it. But when i was there about 2 weeks ago the dj who was on was playing shit like public domain and joy energizer. I don't know if it was mendez tho's cos i couldn't see the in dj booth. The rumour was it was dave pearce tho'. I'm judging him on this, i may be wrong and more than likely am wrong.

Posted by Slade on Mar-28-2003 15:25:

hmmm

Australia

Progressive: phark too hard, all the Zero Tolerance crew (Phil K, Gab Oliver, Luke Chable, Ivan Gough etc), the Our House (Global Recordings) crew (Sean Quinn & Kasey Taylor) can't split em

Techno: hmm Simon Digby (Wet Musik)

Trance: Ultrasun is cheeze, but bleh, let me know if anyone in Oz is a decent trance producer

Drum n Bass: Greg Packer

Hard Trance: our best known is probably Pee Wee Ferris

House: Wok Institute
