Henrik Larsson came back to play for Helsingborg this season and it took like 2 or 3 games until he adapted to Allsvenskan. Helsingborg was one of the worst teams in the league at that time, but it all started to change when Henke came and played for them.

Him, Luton Shelton and Karekezi were absolutely amazing during the autumn period of 2006. He was playing very well and I'm still getting amazed by him at times. I can understand his move to the 12th of March 2007 though, Who wants to play in a Mickey Mouse-cup like Royal League if he can play in a bigger league while he's still fresh and in the mood of playing good football.

He could do very well at United and I definetly hope he'll be as good as he was in Barcelona when Samuel Eto'o had to leave to play the African Cup of Nations back in January/February last year.

I really don't care about Larsson. .

You have got to remember that if they buy a big name they will more than likely have played in europe and man utd want to have to player that can play in the champions league.

Good victory today although it got a little scary towards the end. After getting thumped last year 1-4 there, it shows this year is a different story.

Ronaldo was really good today although with his typical flops on a few occasions. He just puts so much pressure on the defense with his ball handling and pace. It's fun to watch.

Middlesborough should feel bad, as they played well enough to earn a draw.

That Ronaldo penalty... Eh. Close call. Replays showed that Schwarzer didn't touch Ronaldo who stumbled and fell. Well, if Schwarzer fouled Ronaldo, he must have touched a part of Ronaldo's shoelace which is enough for Ronaldo to fall like the Portuguese diving bastard that he is.

I have to admit though that he was good tonight, nice immediate reply on Middlesbroughs goal there.

11 straight games without a loss, 9 wins and 2 ties. Impressive record.

Nar, it was a fair result I feel. We didn't really pose much threat going forward, Yakubu is absolutely terrible! He must have the worst shot for a striker going. Cattermole was outstanding. 2/3 years time and he'll be a regular for the national team.

Good win by West Ham. Saw a lot of confidence in their passing play like they used to have last season. Still missed some good chances though. Gotta finish those chances.

The EPL is getting so fucking boring these days. The same 4 teams win the league every year. The last time a team other than Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea won the EPL was in 95 when Rovers won it. BORING.

WTF... Pompey were on top early on in the season... that was the most odd thing in years... and they're still in the hunt for 3rd and 4th... Arsenal STILL suck, after their shitty performance last year, FUCK ARSENAL... and right now, its actually a two team race... wtf are you complaining about...?

that's all I'm asking for but people object to it, like for some reason Man U deserves to be able to spend more money and buy all the good players. I'll never forget the morons on here saying how Rooney leaving Everton for Man U was good for football. But these same people bitch when the Yankees go after the best players in the MLB. There shouldn't be some kind of elitist hiearchy in football but there is and so many fans are accepting of it.

That is complete nonsense. Clubs like Manchester united, Liverpool, arsenal were all in the same position as Everton and Bolton back in the day and because they got lucky by picking the right manager, players etc that they were able to generate success which resulted in rewards in the form of money and if they are not able to enjoy that money to further their ambitions and the name of the club, then what is the point of winning?

That said, the only aspect where I support a salary cap is to curb the unfair spending of clubs like Chelsea who got their wealth not because of their success but because a big shot bought them over and pumped in tons of his cash which was generated by his business and not by playing top level football. If a salary cap should be generated, then it should only be to the level that, the club can only spend a chunk of what it earns through the revenue that is generated by the club itself which is winnings, marketing and sponsorships.

Sports today are more of a business than a competition where everyone should have an equal opportunity at everything. If it can be done in sports, then why not tell Microsoft and Google that they will only be able to spend the same amount of money as is deemed fair by all other companies competing in the same industry. Just because they have unlimited spending power does not mean that only they should be allowed to hire the best talent.

Salary caps are only being pleaded for by the less successful clubs who are whining about falling attendances and the inability to attract top level talent to their ranks because the fans are more interested in seeing clubs that win.

It will also mean lower level clubs will always have less funds available, because they aren't as popular as the big clubs and will rarely be able to make it at the top.

Yeah, some clubs do overachieve, but because of their location, they will never have the fan base necessary to generate revenue.

I suggest something akin to MLB is doing. If you spend over the amount set as cap, you have to pay a 'tax' that goes to other clubs's transfer funds.
