yeah Shivers wasn't that good that's true, but at least he had a compilation + artist album this year.

and ASOT 2005 was a good Mix CD. Way better than ISOS 4. The tracklist wasn't that perfect but the mixing was very good.

The Megamixes were great, just listen seriously to them and hear what Armin does with 3 tracks playing at the same time.

His live sets are so full of emotions, people really love Armin for his sets.

Even @ Nature One Germany where mostly Techno and House is played he made the main floor explode and the people shouted "encore".

- from all top jocks he spinned at the most festivals and bigger events

- 1st time in Germany (from German point of view)

- Armin Only parties @ Ibiza + Ocean Diva

- ASOT 2005 Mix Compilation

- Shivers Artist Album

- weekly radio show ASOT

- the 2004 Megamix and the 200 Episodes ASOT Megamix

he gets standing ovations and "encore" shouts everyever he spins (even at his gig @ nature one in germany)

I like Armin. I've seen him a few times this year and enjoyed. I got the Shivers album within 2-3 days of it coming out, and I am sad to say, it sucked. ASOT 2005 wasn't great, either. Some good tracks, but not great. Of the comps that came out, it was better than Tiesto's ISOS 4, but that doesn't say much.

Anjunabeats 3 and Ferry's Creamfields and Passport discs were much better.

Swamper, for next year's poll, you should use these 250 for the pull down menu. Some DJs that weren't in the DJ Mag 250 that made it onto our list would probably have been higher (Victor Dinaire, Steve Porter, etc.)

Agreed.

Yeah... great justification for being voted the best DJ on the planet.

Posted by Rockabye on Oct-20-2005 19:19:

ASOT 2005 had better mixing than ISOS 4 and a better Tracklist than TPOD 2. Although it couldn't be compared with Fundacion or Cattaneo's The Masters Series 2 for sure.

And compare Tiesto, Paul and Armin @ their label work -> Armada had the best releases out of the 3 this year and pushed the most new talents.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Oct-20-2005 19:22:

Well I am glad to see Armin up there. I haven't lost hope in TA

WTF ?! Baby Anne, Icey & DJ Rap all missed the top 250 ?! The only 2 out of my top 5 that I voted for that got in were Sander K & Tatana.

You crazy elitists and your J00F.

He's good, but you'd swear to from some of you guys' posts that he's the Messiah of music.

Good seeing him in the Top 20, though.

Posted by idoru on Oct-20-2005 19:33:

Haha, Mikey Mike got 144

Posted by DJ Cinos on Oct-20-2005 19:33:

J00f is some kind of elitist thing now? He raped Mahadeva! He should be burned for that.
