prolly next monday. I have to go get my fingerprints done, have a background check and a drug test and after all of that I can start.

I really wanna shoot myself.

oh and on top of that my landlord decided that today would be a great day to do fixer-uppers and this guy has been in my apartment all day. I cant watch TV, its hella noisy and there is ZERO privacy.

it's not nice outside but you should go on one of my epic walks ...it has been less than a week since my internship ended and I'm so bored I'm giving myself assignments

I was thinking about that but there are too many people in here for me to change. I dont feel like being a dick and kicking them out. More importantly, I need them to change my wall before I have guests lol

Hmm interesting u should say that. Starting nxt week I'm going to try to give myself assignments - after all I should be shooting more pictures, getting some more exercise all over the city

Philly is also 20 r/t by bus so day trips aren't out of the question. Visit some old friends

Maybe buy a bike even and join ppl riding...go back to the gym...

Lol this is soooo going to be my focus OVER work this summer hehe

So BORED!!!!!!!!!!!! Started a new job last week and I want to shot my brains out!! They are not giving me any work at all, I keep on asking and asking and asking!!! I plan my day around trips to the bathroom and lunch cause they are the only things I have to do during the day. I turned down another position for this and the prospect of another to sit on my ass and do nothing. This sucks!!!!

(Brain) Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
(Pinky) Whoof, oh, I'd have to say the odds of that are terribly slim Brain.
(Brain) True.
(Pinky) I mean, really, when have I ever been pondering what you've been pondering?
(Brain) To my knowledge, never.
(Pinky) Exactly. So, what are the chances that this time, I'm pondering what you're pondering?
(Brain) Next to nil.
(Pinky) Well, that's exactly what I'm thinking, too.
(Brain) Therefore, you *are* pondering what I'm pondering.
(Pinky) Poit, I guess I am!"

I am going over lunch, but even if the job is still open its not enought $$ and I really don't know what to do! This place will have work for me but its gonna be another 3 or 4 weeks out and literally I have done 3 SMALL, super SMALL projects since I got here and quite frankly I am better then this just sitting around. I felt like I was more mentally active when I was looking for a jod sitting at home then I am here. Its okay if it is an hour here or there or a day or two but I am about to get onto my hands and knees and beg for anything, its that bad!!!

I have been here since 9:00 AM and have not done one thing!!!

I know this may sound stupid, but have u talked to ure boss about this ?? Express ure concern and see what he says. Im sure no boss will ever turn down giving their employees more work to do. If anything, he will make u employee of the week.

wow thats really bad! why in the hell did they hire you in the first place if you get paid to do NOTHING??? I thought you said the other job pays similar because the hourly rate is higher??

Its a difference of about $200 a week, but at this point I think it might be worth it, who knows. I ask myself the same thing. I am like okay you have me here but to do what. I think that as a whole the company isn't very fast paced and I am used to something much crazier, which is part of the reason I took the position so I could relax for a few months but damn I didn't want to come to a stand still!!!

i obviously don't know what you do, or what company you work for, but for the most part new employees aren't given much responsibility until the company can trust them to do the work correctly. so maybe you need to wait it out until they can trust you to do the work the way they want it done.

Yea I am in on a 6 month contract for a woman who is gonna be out having a baby. She is still here so I am kind of just waiting but the thing is she gonna leave soon and I am like okay give me a little bit more of your work so I can learn it now while you are still here. They way I look at it that I should be slowly getting more work and she should be getting less but it seems she is just not ready to give over control yet. Oh well, it could be worse I know.

it could be worse if you breach the contract by quitting, and they sue you.

when i started my internship in december i literally had nothing to do. i was so bored i went out and bought the brothers karamazov if you didn't know that book is like 500 pages long. needless to say after two weeks i was working nonstop and i got to the point where in a given month i would get a grand total of 4 days off and have to work maybe 9 or so 13hour days/month. i'm sure you'll get more stuff.
