Nope...no more vinyl...just for the occasional nostalgy trips now and then when I'm having a pre party at my place or something =)

Well of course...you can connect it to whatever you want, but there is no send return on the DJM-400 so either you have to run the effects through master or via one single channel...i'm buying another efx so that I can hook one up to each channel - much cheaper than a mixer with S/R. hmm 2 efx 500 and one djm 400 cant be much cheaper then buying a mixer with s/r ?

Used EFX-500s can be found for aprox 150 euros on ebay so yepp, a bit cheaper =) Buying 2x efx-500s and a djm-400 all in one purchase instead of a mixer with s/r might not be the best idea, but since I've upgraded my setup continually during the past couple of years this is how it turned out for me

are those visuals linked up to play along with your music? if so what is it? the only one i have is winamp and i think they look ugly

Winamp doesn't just have one visualisation mate, you can download visualisations/plugins for winamp and there are a lot of them. A popular one is Milkdrop, which is pretty nice. I'm sure others will be able to recommend much nicer ones though... I don't know many

I have the output coming from my mixer into the computer and winamp is set to play the input with the milkdrop visual, which you can get here http://www.nullsoft.com/free/milkdrop/

thanks a lot, this is way better! what was it that you had to do again so that the visualizations go with the sound coming from a different line input? i hadn't done it in forever so i forgot

I have had the mixer for over a year and its still like brand new. Its a very solid mixer for the price.

i got mine at staples about 2-3 years ago. theres a similar all metallic/glass one too iirc

Honestly I find the setup to be awful (the esthetic part I'm saying). But I guess it has a pretty good sound...
