Wow, I'm surprised. I remember way back when they played at Graceland, and people were going bonkers to see them. (I wasn't one of them, as I'm not an Orb fan.)
Why is there a lack of good shows after 2 weeks from now.. blueprint was on fire before.. now they seeming to slow down.. maybe trying to promote those sunday shows not sure.. only one im looking forward to is junkie xl..

yes its true, i am actually looking elsewhere to travel for a good time lately.. already went to montreal a few months ago which was 10x better then anything ive been to out here. planning on getting out to europe next year.. cant wait.
I guess Blueprint is too busy with the Venue (old Plaza) opening and all the electro shows. It looks like the hipster music finally took over. Heck, even Zabiela gets booked in Kelowna and not here?!
But, yeah, enjoy the weather and some extra cash in your wallet. 
I was hoping Venue would take all the crappy hipster electro from Celebs freeing up the night for good DJ's. So far that hasn't happened

Typically, summer is a little slower in this city for edm shows. But yeah, when Zabs gets booked in Kelowna and not here, you know something is amiss.
I was just thinking the same: mashup + blog house ain't my style. I'll be spending my $$$ on well made mojitos on the patio this summer instead.

Im going to Seattle August 14th-22nd and definitely want to drive up to Vancouver for a day or two during that week. Any good clubs and events going down during that time you guys can recommend?

Any word on Digweed coming this Sept? He tends to have an end of the Summer party here. He's had two Sept dates the last two years.
Looking forward to Dubfire, if Digweed isn't coming. It has to be one or the other since money is tight now.
BTW, anyone going to Grouper this Saturday? She's playing at some church on Nelson. Sort of like Indie Electronica stuff (ie. Nathan Fake, Ricardo Tobar, etc..).
Apparently Blueprint is bringing five regular DJ's for its 12th anniversary in September. Two of them are Dubfire and Steve Aoki. No Sasha, but Alvaro didn't deny Digweed. Let's hope.
