What do you expect from the Israelis? When you tell them they did something wrong they will go back to how they had it bad during the concentration camps and how 6million of them died innocently and then they will go and say they didn't start the fight it was the 'terrorists'.

If you think its all 'just for two guys', methinks you need to dig a little deeper than MSM headlines...

Yep exactly. If it were just about 2 arrested soldiers the IDF would have negotiated & had thier guys back home by now. Instead they bombed Lebanon back 50 years.

Me thinks a greaseball should restrain himself from posting in the PDD forum.

FFS what the hezbullahs has been doing to Israel is not even close to the destruction that Isreal is making in Lebenon.

If anyone needs to dig a little deeper is you.

the funny part is, Lebanon has very little to do with anything.

If u really think about it from a distance, it's all a very funny (though seriosuly, very unfortunate) turn of events.

Posted by hardcore trancer on Jul-26-2006 17:31:

you would think for a race that has been through holocaust would know much better then this.I guess some never learn.

I have a feeling that this current situation could be the end for Israel.

I dont think Israel realizes that they are making more enemies for themselves and basiaclly digging their own graves.

"Israel ignored repeated warnings it was shelling close to United Nations observers in southern Lebanon before an Israeli bomb killed four for them, the Irish foreign ministry has said."

quote:
"On six separate occasions he [the officer] was in contact with the Israelis to warn them that their bombardment was endangering the lives of UN staff in South Lebanon," a department of foreign affairs spokesman said.

I guess a known U.N. oberservance outpost & 6 warnings that morning igored would lead me to believe it was intentional too.

BBC's also covering it
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5217176.stm

but according to them.. they were being shelled for 6 hours and contacted the IDF 10 times about their position. Then a laser guided bomb hit from an israeli plane. Call me a conspiracy theorist, I also think it was deliberate. I've been in many discussions about UN-Israeli relations and many Israeli supporters think that the UN is anti-semitic even though the US vetos any UN bills condemning for occupation.. violence etc etc. With that being said, I'm not too surprised they attacked a UN target. I'm just pissed off that the reaction is so light and the default response is 'Oops'.

Ya this war has shown the world real jews and how they are. How selfish and disrespectful this community is towards others. For 2 of their own they will kill 200 others. Maybe thats why they were sent to concentration camps at first place.

umm are you fucking serious? no one wants to hear your anti-semetic views, fuck off

what you idiots don't understand, is that peace doesn't work with these people. their lives are sworn to eradicating israel, killing jews, and getting the "holy land" back. look at the big picture. peace doesn't work with them. what happened to the ceasefire? that's proof enough. israel is tired of this shit and just wants to live in peace. these fundamentalist arabs will never leave israel alone until they are eradicated, and good riddance. israel took shitty land and made it prosperous, now the arabs want back? aww, cry about it.

I know ur post doesn't refer to me. It's great that u had the balls to turn this convo around. You've made a strong point, but i personally am still not convinced.

hmmmm, well, i'm leaning more on the "using hezbollah as an excuse to attack lebanon" side.

It doesn't bother me that ISrael get's pissed off and retaliates, but i don't see what the hell Lebanon has to do with anything. A lot of people in Pakistan want to see india not exist (minorities in reality, most people don't give a shit, and in general most people just want to live their lives as usual anywhere in the world), and vice versa, but neither of them go off on a tangent and use it as an excuse to attack Bangladesh (which on very rare occasions has minor conflicts with india).

I don't really see hezbollah as an entity of the Lebanese government.

say you own a house, and you let terrorists stay there. although they aren't affiliated with you, you're still harboring them. would you be suprised if your house got bombed?

please read my "thorn in the side" post.

The way i see it the arab side of the problem is more the whole corruption, greed, and lack of democracy. It's more indirect, in that it's a socio-economic structure is that can spawn terrorists (ugh, i hate that word).

Again in my own little cutsie world, This isn't a problem with a quick fix, and that's why this conflict never dies away. The arabs need a strong and genuinyl caring leader to emerge, and this doesn't look like happening with their current democratic format.

You must be joking.
We all know this has situation has been building since Syria left Lebanon to rot with the Hizbullah aka Iranian Guard dogs, so lets put down the bong and get off our high horse for a second.
It's the Hizbullah that dragged everyone into this, that point is incontestable and they're to blame for being this upon the Lebanese people.
Why is this so hard to understand?

Posted by colonelcrisp on Jul-26-2006 19:26:

i dont recall you all bitching this hard after the US annhialated two countries after 9/11......... lets not even get into the body count from afganistan or iraq......

i was oposed to the US reaciton to 9/11 as well, and so were alot of other people, but after a couple months of war, people seemed to stop protesting it... the Israelis are just taking an american style approach to this.
