i think todays a beach day

Currently on a temp assignment - so far its okay...it may run twice a week so we will see what happens.

Well today is better I am getting work, I can't believe it is almost 1:00PM. I hope this keeps up.

Starting my first REAL job in a couple days. Any words of advice for a new job and a new career? I am only a tad nrevous, but I am hoping thigns go well at this job since its the first professional one I have had really, and I plan on being there for 3 years at least.

but if they start to demand stuff then tell them ur busy
and show up to work on time and not hung over wouldnt be a bad idea either lol

lol I technically dont have a boss. I have a director that runs ALL of the programs, but she is literally there to support and of course to lead the way in the beginning for ideas and such. Other than that, I essentially run my own show.

my only advice is do what you are supposed to do. the number of people who don't is astonishing so if you do that you'll be fine. Plus it's a new job but you've been doing the same thing as an intern so you'll be fine.

nah on the real best of luck and exactly wat wai said do what your supposed to do first and if they ask for more make sure your done with wat your doing and you can handle it

i don't exactly have NO work to do... but maybe about 30 minutes worth, that i've gotta stretch over the next few hours. if i were an internet junkie it'd be no big deal. at least i've stayed sober this week. ... j/k i'm sober all the time

sounds pretty cool. i dont think id have patience to deal with kids but im guessing that if they expect you build a system for others to follow they mustve recognized ur leadership skills knowledge and experience of the industry. id say that you should really focus on building a very effective and budget friendly system that can show simply why they hired you in the first place. at least thats what id do.

about 6 more hours left for me here in the emergency room. It's been a very reasonable shift thus far (I got in at 4pm). I am going home to pass out after work and sleeping in as late as possible. Im heading to cape cod to meet up with my gf after work tomorrow night then coming back before work then a long night of clubbing in boston before a LONG saturday bbq/deck party then sunday is funk d'void in cambridge. Its going to be very fun/tiring

I am currently doing my internship at a hotel near the Grand Central Station. I work as assistant intern for managers in housekeeping department. There are lots of rooms to check for a day and it is crazy. I get crazy to punch in for F/D(Front Dest) so they can sell rooms for guest. In addition,I have to deal with some crazy house men and women. Even some managers from the department have crazy characters. I think the job is tough but you can have some funs if you can find nice people around. To me, I can't complain more. It is ok to me.

I dont do any of the budgeting/business stuff, I focus more on the practice, techniques, and theory in providing the best (mental health and psychotherapy)treatment to the individuals.

They dont have ANY mental health professionals currently working there, so I am going to be coming up with a plan for the best assessment and diagnosis based on my own work with the clients and helping other social workers and therapists that come on board.
