I am Legend = Arsepiss

No Country For Old men = Easily one of the best movies I have ever seen. If you can predict the end of this even 3 minutes from the end you are smarter than PKC. The bad guy in this movie would have Batman, Superman and the Hulk shitting their pants. Triple thumbs up.

Juno has been getting good reviews, so I watched it last night.

Ellen Page playing Juno is clearly what makes the movie, she's incredibly gifted and plays her role very well. The movie is pretty funny, but doesnt really explore the consequences of the decisions made by the characters, "everything turns out allright". So I guess don't try and over analyze it and accept it on the same leel as Napoleon Dynamite and you'll enjoy it.

No Country For Old Men = pretty damn good. I didn't predict the ending, I musn't be smarter than pkc I did have a fair idea it was no fairytale though

then a R5 of Beowulf floating around now, shall watch that next

I am a massive Denzel fan but I would have to say that American Gangster is one of his weakest performaces ever. Its a good story but not a great flick. I would save this for DVD while there are so many other amazing movies being released.

No Country For Old Men had me in at the start but I was disappointed by the ending. It reminded me a lot of Fargo. It was a bit of a surprise considering when I sat down to watch it I had no idea what it was about. The dialogue was fantastic.

I want to see the Sea Horse

watching royal tenenbaums again: one of the best films ever made--

wes anderson is probably the best director around...
his new film, darjeeling limited just came out, and it's great-- check it out folks.

there were people in the cinema that scoffed at the ending. i thought it was a terrific movie, and javier bardem is one scary mofo. i cannot wait for killing pablo to come out, after watching no country for old men i cannot wait to see javier play pablo escobar.

Posted by gumble on Jan-20-2008 09:24:

Oh noes, not a movie without a happy, fairytale ending!

Atonement is really fucking good. A lot better than I expected, keira being slamming hot was just a bonus.

I enjoyed it, go :P

Also saw Cloverfield the other night, recommend that one too. Some friends were sooky and complained about the film technique/focus etc giving them headache/motion sickness etc..

I've since read plenty online, interesting theories and explantions, even the characters have MySpace pages. A line at the very end of the credits also left it wide open for a second film.

Heath looks to bring the evil in The Dark Knight, cant wait for that. Can any confirm that its been postponed to 2009?

i heard that... hopefully they release it as scheduled.

Posted by MiSSyM on Jan-24-2008 11:55:

oh ye wanna watch Cloverfield & PS I Love you too.

Watched American Gangster, enjoyed this film, was in shock at many scenes, especially it being a 'true story'. I dont care what film or part Denzel Washington ever plays he is just so good to watch, there is just something about him such charisma I love about him!

I think Russell Crowe's performance was really well done in it too.

black magic

severed - MA - starring moff from human traffic and captain darling from blackadder.

never seen a horror movie that was both quite scary and totally hilarious. evil dead 2 tried this but failed miserably imo. the black comedy in this film is fantastic, yet a few moments later you're tense as all hell. i was really impressed with the way the movie managed to do both equally well, without compromising each other.

this film was a breath of fresh air from what i consider the most problematic genre. there are some really clever choices by the writers which make some scenes really subtle yet hilarious. i watch a lot of horror flicks compared to other stuff these days and it definitely more successful at pushing your buttons than most of the competition.

moff plays a very similar character as the one from human traffic, and he's so fucking good if anyone has seen it and can recommend something similar id love to hear from you.

mandi, i reckon you gotta check it out

5 torture scenes out of 5.

ha ha 5 torture scenes out of 5....... how intriguing!
lol

Saw a really interesting & shocking dvd the other day!

BORDERTOWN

Stars Jennifer Lopez (probably best performance shes done in a movie) & Martin Sheen & Antonio Banderes.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bordertown_(2007_film)

Its based on a true story which is most shocking of all.

Really sad & confronting movie based on the many murder's of women in Mexico!

The suspense in this movie is really frustrating.
I couldnt look at some scenes.

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia by Sam Peckinpah (1974). Waayyy before Tarantino he was the man. A true masterpiece of its genre if you can put it in any genre.
