Makes sense. Why pay Digweed's fee when it's possible to bring a nu-rave DJ from LA for about a third of the price and still sell out the club?

I'd say our best chance to see someone of Digweed's calibre would be a show in Seattle. It looks like they still have a scene.

On a side note you might notice that there are no more shows at Richard's. That's because the place will go kaboom in a month to make room for a new condo building.

With booking someone like Digweed or most "proggy" dj's... sure the money can be an issue, but its more that most of their big paying popularity is in South America/Eastern Europe/East Coast... coming up to the North West is a big pain in the ass...

Seattle hasn't been picking up many shows at all the last 5 years, and when they play LA, its usually combined with LA, Vegas, or SD... all of which are still 3 hours flights

Yeah, no problem.

Luke is coming over for September to produce with Shiloh and have "a gig or two."

It's funny how Shiloh are probably the biggest producers to come from Vancouver and I have yet to see them.

I remember that time Shiloh played Atlantis (or whatever that old Mars club has since changed names to). It was a good show, but alas, a poor turn out. Then Chable played at the Lotus for a Focus gig -- good tunes, but Chable was a bit too hammered to mix properly (I think he spent the most part of the night lifting his shirt).

Any idea who is bringing him in? Library Square. Interesting venue (I've only been for 80s night)..

Actually, I clearly remember seeing Chable @ Atlantis. It was one of my first parties in Vancouver. Then, correct, it was him and Phil K (man, the guy knows how to use Pioneer equipment) at Lotus. Luke wasn't mixing that much that night. But, then again, it hard to beat Phil K on the decks. Here's the proof:

The show is hosted by "Recycled" ( http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/g...17483267&ref=ts ). They throw shows here and there once in a while.

Yes, there was alot of crossed-hand-action @ Atlantis that night. Really sparse turn out though, which was too bad. Nice tunes.. I remember hearing Washing Up and jumpin thru the dancefloor -- lots of space to dance!

That picture summed up the night completely. Now all I need is the one where he's lifting his tshirt and pointing at his belly..

Phil K was really good. At the first Summerbreak tent, with Chable at the Lotus, then by himself one summer @ the Lotus. Some nice tweaks and effects thrown in.
