I did Tuesday - Sunday at the Conference this year for less than $450, which included gas from Atlanta and back. Granted, I did not drink much by choice, but had I been so inclined I could easily have brought a large flask with me everywhere and been happily toasted. I carried large water bottles in my WMC shoulder bag right into the clubs and only once did a door bouncer bother me about it (and after arguging with them that I had a sore throat they let it slide). I also had a place to stay for free (thanks Josh), but if you look around you can find some pretty good deals. Some friends of mine found a guy on craigslist who was renting out his livingroom during WMC for $99 a night. Split 3 or 4 ways that is dirt cheap.

WMC doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg.

and you don't have to "limit" yourself there to spend 450 in Detroit.

It came out to 950 between my bf and I and we had our own room to have sex0rz in.. we did DEMF all out, and we didn't have to limit ourselves with drinks and stuff.

Gimme a break. WMC costs an arm and a leg and I lived in Miami.

The only things I paid for when I went to Miami were my flight + hotel, and the whole trip still managed to cost me 2 grand. I can't imagine how much more money I'd need to spend if I didn't have the hookups I did.

The whole DEMF trip cost me 600 bucks...including gas and food. But that's a liberal amount...if I had to do it on less, I could.



+1 to booking hotel for DEMF '09 6 months in advance. I'm going to ask for the same room if possible. Or at least one high up on that side of the building!

Yeah, no matter what, WMC = $$$$$$$. I lost $400 for last years, and I didn't even go!

ooh yeah.. What Jenny said. We could have spent alot less during DEMF and still had a great time.. without sacrificing much. We had a blast and it came out to 450 for me and 450 for my bf.

Yeah I was giving beers away by the end of every night. Some girl was going around asking people to "spill and swill" (i.e., asking people to spill some of their beer into her empty cup). I thought that was pretty ghetto, so I gave her enough tickets to buy a beer.

In retrospect, I hope she had i.d., lol.
