hat's off to insomniac and to henry for listening to all our concerns and complaints about the open bar situation. very glad to see that the company is taking the opinions and comments of its consumers seriously! can't freakin wait for EDC!

and about the whole US festival vs. euro dance festival thing, i haven't been lucky enough to attend a festival in europe, but i get stoked every year for EDC because its still the biggest and craziest 12 hours (now 24 hours) that i'll usually get to experience. we don't see events even a 10th the size of EDC in west texas, so its always worth the time and money to travel to an event like EDC. i'm sure insomniac wants to put on events that rival the likes of sensation, and in due time i know they will. every EDC i've been to (this year will be #5) has gotten bigger and better, with more and more little elements that push it over the top. does anyone else remember the girls in the VIP last year in victorian dresses that were actually tables? fucking awesome! thats the kind of thing i love to see when i go to an event like that. i'm sure they might do similar things like that at events in europe, but i don't know. so keep those little touches coming insomniac!

I saw GE at Avec and Circus in early March and he did an awesome job.

Yeah those shows were amazing, what he did in two hours at Avec was amazing. I'm going to be seeing him at ETD Pop in San Francisco, but I was really looking forward to seeing him on the mainstage at EDC. Hopefully Insomniac reconsiders.

His 4 hour set at Circus definitely was the best night I've seen at that club since I started going late 2008.

Henry, assuming the Coliseum floor reaches capacity at some point during the night, can you tell us if security will limit access to the Coliseum floor only or will security prevent people from entering the Coliseum entirely? (I would be surprised at the latter since the LA Coliseum capacity is >90,000)

I realize its hard to tell, but there are scenes of dancers on other stages as well as people dancing at other stages (I distinctly remember watching part and being like, oh, that's the DnB stage... sick)! Another section I picked out part that looked like it was from the stage Yoji, Sander, Markus and others played on.

They are there, but it was all close shots that were filmed. The chopper circled the Main stage all night, and crane cameras were only there as well.

I think I recall them closing it entirely. it may be 90K with just seats, but add in all those on the floor and imagine trying to empty the place in an emergency with enough of the people in the stands too. It just wouldn't be safe. Not that I'm entirely sure it is anyway lol.

yeah... thats a tough call. I don't know if Insomniac would have an actual answer for that as that would be more of a fire marshal issue. I would assume if they close off the area, they will close off the area completely.

I agree. At least the kids who show some imagination in their kandi getups.

When are they going to have the line up on the EDC web site? I want to buy my tickets but am a lil skeptic until I see the line up on the actual web site.
