my brand new xone 92 arrived yesterday

Posted by n3lly on Apr-24-2008 13:16:

Can someone please explain to me why people hate the cue'ing system on the 92. I've always heard people moan about it but i've never asked myself or others to explain exactly what they mean?

Thanks..
nelly

What differs the cueing system on Xone 92 (dunno about other xones) is that instead of pushing each cue button on and off seperately, like on most mixern, on xone you have to push all the buttons you want to cue simultaneously.

For example, say that you want to cue channel 1, 2 and 4 On regular mixers you press cue on channel 1, then 2, then 4. On Xone 93 you have to press them all at the same time. When in cue mode any given cue button is pressed, it jumps out of cue mode and the master is cued instead.

It's a bit confusing at first but when you get used to it it acutally saves a lot of time. I for one wouldn't want it any other way, but each to their own.

i think the cueing system on the xone:92 is the best one available. that's the main reason why i got the mixer. altho i must say that i would prefer if the cue/add mix knob would be a cue/mix knob instead. fading the other one out as the other one fades in (working like a crossfader kinda).

...like on the xone:32. I love the cueing system on the 32. When I first spun on a 92 my immediate thoughts were that A&H went backwards with the new system, but that's just me... (and you obviously )
