Ballistic: mix is cool man, I'll play it on radio not this week, but the week after.

Escee: I have to admit your point about 9 tracks is a bit floored if the mix is only 60min long.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Jul-12-2005 22:58:

DONT download my mix (coz you cant )
given all the debate in the last few days, could you more knowledgeable types tell me what this tracklist says? coz i honestly have no idea. just something i put together for friends.

**elegant simplicity**

1. probspot - blueberry
2. albert evil - groove on
3. airwave - save me (whiteroom remix)
4. icone - astra (arc in the sky remix)
5. signum - come around again (DJ danjo & rob styles mix)
6. genix - reconnected
7. YOMC - pump it! (pumpin\' mix)

Posted by Aesthetic on Jul-12-2005 23:00:

cummins, that a bit of a *arder set?

by the way guys, i donno why you're all talking about how strong your friendships with people are.. when someone makes a comment on your fucking trance demo what difference does it make whos you're friend.

we're talking about your music, or your dj set, not you as an individual. no one's personally attacking anyone - JUST to make this perfectly clear.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Jul-12-2005 23:06:

not really (excluding the 2 dumonde) everything else is pretty easy going (for me anywayz).

Posted by Aesthetic on Jul-12-2005 23:09:

send me the cd like you did the last one id be happy to offer you my constructive criticism, because i know you can handle it.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Jul-12-2005 23:12:

ok, cheers dave! and damn straight i can handle the crit just DONT mention the out of phrase mix, i know about that one already, and it hurt while i was doing it. hahaha. can you pm me your addy again? ta.

Love Poundin' Sensation

I agree with everyone, let the dick sucking beGIN!!@!!@!

Btw, from a third party perspective, I know where benji's coming from... To him it would be like escee's singling him out, because positive feedback is a rarity when Mr Neil Bambers concerned...

I think there would've been a better way to criticise, because sarcasm really hurts deep. I have never heard any of escee's mixes, all I know is that I sold him a copy of Chicanes Halcyon/No Ordinary Morning for $25.00, then it got released on VW ~~ LOL (jokes brudda)

See, if I critised Benji's mix... it wouldn't seem so bad... but if escee does it, the reactions alot more violent

The point I'm trying to make is, be like Begic... STAND OUT A BIT
I swear like 99% of people here are DJ's, I think me and Paulie are the only ones who arean't. So naturally there'd be harsher critism, cos everyone thinks their better than everyone else

this posts sole purpose was to shit stir, and try and cop head from someone

Posted by escee on Jul-13-2005 10:29:

I don't know where the sarcasm in my post about anomysts mix was. Why haven't you downloaded any of my mixes?

Posted by rez on Jul-13-2005 10:43:

Love Poundin' Sensation

Ok maybe not Anomysts... I keep remembering that comment "That TL looks so original and creative" I think that was to that Canadian dude... HAHA

Its not that I don't want to DL your mix, I don't really dl anybodies due to not giving two fucks... Although I know that was another outpour of sarcasm, I would appreciate some links to your mixes... (seriously now, could you give us a link to your latest mix)

I promise I'll criticise so you can show these kids how to take it constructively

Posted by Aesthetic on Jul-13-2005 22:50:

lol rezza, you nailed it up until that second paragraph. but yeah man, i totally agree.. people think im a bit of an asshole because im so harsh but the guys that know me like escee, pkc, scotty bateman, yourself, paulos, even jpl know that i love music as much if not more than most people on this board and thats why i judge things so intensely.

.. that and im a complete fucking asshole who hates everyone's guts.

Cool remix. Lovely bassline. The reverb on the melody just before the breakdown needs some work, sounds pretty awfull at times almost like a hard house riff just slowed down. The breakdown itself, well nothing really seems to happen, you have some nice airy chords, but not too much else. Without hearing the original its a bit hard to compare it. But your percussion and beats are getting tight yo.

omfg quit with the honesty, PLEASE.

I dont like the kick, thats just personal opinion but. Slade is right about the percussion but its nice. Bassline is good. I don't really dig the synths before the break down either but I wouldn't compare it to a hard house tune. Overall, I like it, would play it.

Posted by jc on Jul-14-2005 06:05:

cheers guys

re- the main melody, theres no reverb on there, its just a hell of a lot of distortion from the 2nd melody behind it, i dunno sounds kinda cool to me, tho i'll have a bit of a fiddle and see what i can do

i kept the breakdown simple and soothing and so its slowly able to lead into the 'dirty' part of the track, didn't want too much going on there

re- the kick, i played around with heaps of different kicks escee and this one worked out best, i needed something punchy and not too bass heavy

thanks for listening guys, all comments taken on board
