that's not a good feeling in baseball because there are just too many games. although our next 13 games are against sub .500 teams and the faultering mets: (1) arizona, (3) mets, (3) colorado, (3) san fran, and (3) baltimore. boston's next 13 games include 3 good teams in atlanta, san diego, and seattle, as well as san fran and one more with colordo. their schedule is a much more difficult, and they're not playing too well. I expect us to pick up about 5 games by the 28th.

Oh Yeah: AROD is the fuckin man....i've been saying that since he came to NY, but with all the haters i finally feel vindicated.

and yesterday and the day before....I dont get psyched about A Rod,,Jeter etc cos we know theyre great players and they're gonna perform..What I do know however is that now we have a guy who is solid at first base which is sumfin we aint had since Tino..

for someone who has only played first 40 times in his career he does look pretty solid. If he can repeat his 2004 performance we will be in very good shape.

I just heard on ESPN that Selig will suspend GIambi if he doesn't testify.

As much as I like Giambi,,it will be one less problem as regards to the changes we discussed earlier...

as much as i don't like Giambi, i would rather have him on the team just in case.

my 7 year old daughter in England has a picture of him on her bedroom wall and she loves him,,how can I dislike the guy.....

anyhow James,,we're in good shape at the moment and I feel that we need no one....BUT,,there will come a time when we do....I dont know James but it's a nice problem to have when you have too many quality players to fall back on should you need them..

that's funny about the poster. Spread the game!!!!

You're absolutely right about our 'good problem.' Although, from what i hear we won't have to deal with any giambi problem for at least two months.

The brightest spot is that our pitching looks like its coming around. The staff is allowing only 2.8 runs per game in the winning streak. Compare that with 7.8 runs for our offense!!

She's Yankees mad James..We took her to Yankee stadium last year when we played the Blue Jays..She hates the Red Sox and Mets with a passion...

Anyway,,we might not have to deal with Giambi ever if the rumours are true about his contract getting cancelled..

My friend who lives in Boston has 4 extra tix and can no longer make it, and is asking me to sell them (easier to sell here than in boston I suppose) to saturdays game (yankees vs. Mets).

She is emailing me the deatils soon, but I wanted to give people a heads up if interested.....all I know is that they arent super expensive like those box seats, so they are somewhat affordable

PM if interested. First come first serve.

PS: I feel like a fakin scalper!!

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jun-14-2007 17:17:

What can you say now, we just swept a team that was in first place until they played us. Not to mention we beat the NL cy young winner. Oh yeah, and they scored a total of 4 runs off of our shitty pitching staff (as of the ninth inning)

Just remember that throughout the summer day games are usually played on Thurdays, saturdays, and sundays. Everyone forgets that thursday games are day games. The league actually has a name for thursdays, it's called "get away day"

What is ur opinion on this???...Beckett has already lost twice this season...He just got taken out during games to avoid the decision...

So francona took him out when things were looking bad in order to avoid a loss???? if that's the case then that's about the gayest thing cause competitors should want to get themselves out of their own mess.
